After receiving the credit card information, which had been the reason for the hold up, we refunded the customer in full.

First and foremost, we would like to extend our sincerest apologies to anyone who feels they have not benefitted whatsoever from dancing. As we are in the business of working with people and their needs, we constantly work to uphold the highest of standards in education as well as...
dancing. Unfortunately at the early stages of learning, the big picture can be somewhat hazy for the individual(s) learning.
We understand that in this particular case, several dance styles were covered, and that future programming options were shown. However, additional lessons were by no means required to receive a completed wedding dance.
Fortunately, at a stage where so much time was put into learning the individual steps for multiple dances, it’s a quick polishing job from there and would not take much effort to complete the full picture of a beautiful wedding dance.
Prior to receiving this notice, we had tried to contact the students several times, and had not been able to get a hold of them. We were definitely unaware of their grievances and were terribly surprised when we received the complaint. It is our policy to offer an expedient refund to students within their refund period, and although we are now outside that time frame, we are more than happy to still issue a refund to the students for their unused lessons. That is something we would have happily done if we had known this was their request. Since the complaint, we have tried several times to contact the customer and have received no response. Unfortunately, we currently have no way of resolving this issue as we cannot get in contact with the customers and cannot automatically issue a refund without communicating with them as we do not have their credit card on file.
We would be happy to resolve this matter expediently. A quick email would suffice so we can reimburse the remaining lessons, or as stated before, it would be very simple and quick to complete their dance so they'll be ready for the big day.
Review: My fiance and I wanted to take dance lessons for our wedding in July. We went to Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Oceanside with a groupon for two private lessons. After the lesson they recommended a package of 8 private lessons, 8 group sessions and 8 "parties." We paid for a total of 10 private lessons (2 from the groupon $40 and 8 private lessons in the package costing $960). We attended 6 lessons at 45 minutes each. During the lessons they taught us several different dances each time...but none that would prepare us for our actual wedding day. At the end of the 6th lesson they recommended more programs that ranged from $700 to over $1500 a MONTH. My fiance and I are paying for our own wedding and there is no way for us to pay for any more. By the end of the lessons we have paid for we would be no where close to being ready for our big day. I am very upset because I have no more money to spend on this and I feel like I literally got nothing out of the experience. I dont feel like everything was explained thoroughly. If it was I would have never signed up. They kept insisting this would be a life hobbie, but thats never what we wanted. We only wanted to be ready for our wedding day. I understand that you can not learn how to dance over night, however It was never explained that we would have needed to purchase more packages to get us to our wedding day. We understood that we only need the 8 private lessons that we originally purchased.Desired Settlement: All we want is for the lessons we did not use to be refunded. It would be great if everything was refunded since we literally did not get anything out of this experience, but we did use at least six lessons.
