Arthur T. Stanley Paving

Review: I received a written quote from A.T. Stanley to rip up and re-surface the driveway at my home. I agreed to have the work done and we scheduled a date about 10 days in the future. A.T. Stanley called me and asked if they could do the work the next day because their crew was not busy. They stated that, if I would allow them to do the work sooner than scheduled, they would provide a seal coat in 30 days at no additional charge and this is noted on the contract. I responded that they could not do the work that soon because there was a shrubbery bed at the bottom on my driveway and I needed to push back the plantings and mulch before the driveway could be worked on. A.T. Stanley said they would take care of that, so I agreed to proceed with the work. They performed the work the next day and were just finishing when I got home from work. I was very happy with the driveway but they did not push back the plantings and mulch from the shrubbery bed and, instead, just installed the blacktop right on top of the mulch leaving an unfinished edge. They apologized for the mistake and said the crew would be back the next day to repair the unfinished edge. No one came back, so I called. Over the course of the next several weeks and at least 10 telephone conversations or voice messages, I was repeatedly promised that someone would come to do the work. My most recent phone calls have gone unanswered, even when I indicated that, if I did not receive a response, I was going to contact the Revdex.com. I have a signed contract from A.T. Stanley indicating, "Seal Coat in 30 Days, No Charge". The contract is dated 5/6/2014 and I paid $4,500 for the work.Desired Settlement: At this point, I don't even want them to repair the unfinished edge by the shrubbery bed because I'm concerned that the patch job will be obvious and look worse than it currently looks. However, the signed contract states that I am to receive a seal coat at no charge. I want them to do that work or provide me with the cash value of the work so that I can hire another contractor to do it.
