The only portion of the entire experience with them that was positive was with the poor sales man that will lose his sales' commission First they've promised to deliver our goods worth $3K on Wed from to 12, then was no one appeared my wife called to follow upThen one department blamed the other for the mistake instead of fixing the problem Then promised to deliver on next day, which they didBut then the goods were damaged with paint and were returnedMy wife called the store on orange and river to complain but "everyone" was on a meetingThen she called corporate where, again, instead of apologizing and trying to quickly resolve the issue to customer's satisfaction, they once more blamed each other and were with a defensive attitude My wife patiently agreed for a third trial of delivered, which they said it would happen in the next days!!!! Really!!!! Kidding!!!! Of course she pushed back and once more the supervisor went on defensive mode....once again Then we thought the third was the charge but once again they said delivery would be between 8-and by 1pm no one had showed or calledShe called again and they said they were late and that we were last on delivery....to wait another hour or soreally!??!?! At that point we cancelled the whole purchase and asked for our money backOnce again they went on defensive mode but who caresIt was our first and last experience with them By the way, four other friends also told us about their bad experiences and one can also see the bad reviews all over the web Too bad we can't support a local business that doesn't car about its customersMy money will go somewhere else

I just returned from Sam LevitzThe company advertised a bunk bed for $Also they sent me a mailer advertising months no interest and no sales taxWhen I went to the store to purchase the bed I found the bed to be $After I told the sales rep I just saw the bed for $he responded "we can do that"Then I was informed I had to pay cashI am able to pay for it but I refused due to the fact that this is a extremely unethical practice that exploits people that are finically challengedCash customers receive one deal while those in need of financing have to pay doubleI spoke with the manager and he stated many pricing excuses but by no means justified his actionsI can completely understand a sale but not percent for cash customers if you are offering financingHis only defense was that they were in business for yearsI informed him that check cashing places have been in business for a long time also but that does not change the fact that they are taking advantage of the financially challengedI refuse to purchase anything from them due to there immorality

Sam Levitz has the worst customer serviceI tried to return a chair that was brand new and still in the box unopenedIt was days after I had bought itI was told that I only had hours to return an itemThe woman I spoke to was rude and did not try to help me at allI went to the store on Prince and I received the same rude treatmentI went to the service deskFive girls were sitting and talkingI waited to see if one of them would ask if they could helpThey kept on talking and did not acknowledge that there was a customer standing there waiting to be helped so I went up to the counter and asked them a question The girl answered but did not even look up at meVery rude and unprofessional staff

I bought and picked up an expensive piece of furniture from your store on MondayWhen we got home, we discovered there was hardware missing, a crack and chips in the different piecesI called the salesman right away and informed himHe said no one was available for pickup and delivery on Tuesday so I had to wait until Wednesday afternoon at that unless I wanted to reload all the very heavy pieces back up into my truck and bring it all back inI had to recall him and ask can the delivery men to come at least Wednesday morning (from 8-12) to which they agreedIt is now 11:33am and I've previously been informed that I'm after someone else! This is unfair and ridiculous! I should have been their 1st priority! If I can help it, I will never buy furniture from you again! My husband and I had to sleep in our living room/couch for days! I will not refer s.lto others but rather tell them to shop them elsewhere! This really is poor customer service at sam levitz finest!

I bought a piece couch from Sam Levitz, yrs ago I also purchased the warranty because it was explained to be that all damage including animal damage would be covered I called and they sent a gentleman out to look at it He stated they would call me in a couple days to tell me their findings I never received a call weeks later I called and was told they would not warranty the damage done by my cat even though scratches are in the warranty I asked them to refund the cost of the warranty then and they said no I asked for a manager to call me It has now been another weeks and no calls or contact made to me by them This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced Especially since there is a defect in the material and the movable parts are coming apart This in not a company I will ever do business with again

My wife and I came in to Sam Levitz Furniture at W Orange Grove Rd, Tucson, AZ to look for a new couch I will refrain from using employee's names throughout this, some of them were extremely friendly and helpful We were initially encountered by a friendly older salesman that showed us around the main room He asked us what we do for work and when we told him, he realized we make good money, he took us to the more expensive GalleriaNo harm no foul
Once we were in the Galleria we were handed off to another sales woman We eventually found the couch we wanted and chose the fabrics we wanted We were informed it would take to weeks, but normally they see a week turn around for custom ordered couches and that we would be getting constant updates throughout the process
A week later we received a call from the sales woman informing us the fabric we chose is discontinued, after initially being upset, we chose different fabrics for the couch and pillows Another week goes by and we receive another call stating that the other fabrics we chose are also discontinued We live out of town, so this is a major inconvenience We informed them we wanted our deposit back unless they could guarantee that the couch would be at our house by the 15th of December (we have both sides of the family coming into town for the holidays), we were told that it wouldn't be a problem Thankfully my wife had a meeting in Tucson so she was able to go in and pick more fabrics
Fast-forward to December 6th, my wife calls in for an update because we were never contacted one time to update us as to what the status was on our couch We were told the couch was completed December 4th, ready to be shipped and that Sam Levitz would receive the couch that week The next day, December 7th, we receive a call stating the couch wouldn't be there until the end of December! So, we call back again, this time the lady tells us the last piece was just finished December 7th (which contradicts what the other lady told us about it being done Dec 4th) and they should receive it that week We were also told how sorry they were about this whole ordeal and that they would ship it expedited at no charge That week goes by with no call or couch and we get a call Monday, December 14th stating the trucks were at Sam Levitz and our couch was on one of them We also were given a delivery date of Thursday, December 17th I asked if that was their supposed expedited shipping, and was told that Sam Levitz doesn't expedite ship to where we live Again we were lied to The next day Tuesday, December 15th, we receive a call from the delivery department canceling our Thursday delivery and stating that our couch is back-ordered and that they did not know when they would receive it Now we have to call back again, and this time they track down the couch and confirm it really is there and that they would ship it that Thursday still We were told we would receive a call to confirm shipment and set up a window for the delivery drivers
As of the night of the 16th, we never received a call confirming the delivery or to set up a time So, again we had to call in, this time they told us they would be here around 9am to 1pm Today the delivery guys show upsuper friendly, no complaint thereand we received the wrong section of our sectional We ordered a 3-piece sectional with a right side chaise sleeper, we received a right side cuddler Our paperwork, the delivery guy's paperwork, all stated we were to receive a right side chaise sleeper I cannot say I was surprised at this point, more exhausted and scared of the future do to the fact that we still have to deal with Sam Levitz to receive the right piece and for the warranty if we should need to use it At any point of this do you think we were offered any discount or anything outside of free delivery (I got a discount on delivery anyways because I am a US Marine) for the torment and heartache as we were dragged through this horrible experience by Sam Levitz? Absolutely not! I would never ask for one So, the delivery guy recommended they leave it there and when the new couch is built, they would deliver it and take the cuddler piece
I had to call three or four times to try and get in contact with our sales woman, all of which I was transferred multiple times and eventually hung up on I was finally contacted and told they would contact the manufacturer, but that the manufacturer is closed for at least a week and a half My frustration at this point is beyond words I can say that I will never purchase another item from them, and that I will spread the word about my experience and poor business practices by Sam Levitz to the almost hundred people I work with and anyone else I encounter

Warranty did not cover what salesperson said (fading and peeling). I even bought and applied their treatment pack. After 8 months, the leather started to fade and fibers started to lift. Warranty people came to see the problem and flat out said "not covered". I contacted sam Levitz again, then they gave me the run around. Instead of fixing the problem and retain good standing with consumers, they tried to save money.
I will not give another chance to lying tricksters. Never again will I buy from Sam Levitz.

I just returned from Sam Levitz. The company advertised a bunk bed for $199. Also they sent me a mailer advertising 36 months no interest and no sales tax. I can completely understand a sale but not 50 percent for cash customers if you are offering financing. His only defense was that they were in business for 60 years. I informed him that check cashing places have been in business for a long time also but that does not change the fact that they are taking advantage of the financially challenged. I refuse to purchase anything from them due to there immorality.

I BOUGHT FURNITURE FROM SAM LEVITZ I BOUGHT THIS FURNITURE AFTER TELLING THE SALESMAN THAT I HAVE MANY PEOPLE OVER AND I NEEDED GOOD FURNITURE THAT WOULD LAST ME AWHILD, HE SOLD ME THIS SET THAT HAD SPRINGS IN THE CUSHION TELLING ME THEY WERE THE BEST THEY COST ME OVER 1500.00 BOUGHT THE WARRANTY, IN 2 YRS THE FURNITURE IS GIVING ME TROUBLE, THE SPRINGS IN THE CUSHIONS ARE POKING THROUGH ON THE THREE PIECE SET, CALLED SAM LEVITZ AND TALK TO MANAGER HAD A HARD TIME SET UP APPOINTMENT, WAS GIVEN A TIME AND THEN CHANGED WITHOUT GIVING ME NOTICE, NOW I AM WITHOUT COUCHES FOR THREE DAYS, THIS IS THE REASON I BOUGHT
COUCHES NOW I HAVE NOTHING FOR GUEST TO SIT ON FOR 3 DAY MANAGER WAS NO HELP AND EXPLAINED THAT THE TIME FRAME WAS COMPUTERS FAULT I HAVE HEARD THAT EXCUSE BEFORE JUST SO NO ONE IS TO BLAME I AM VERY UPSET THAT THIS COMPANY COULD NOT RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM ANY OTHER WAY,

Purchased furniture from Sam Levitz on several occasions. Each purchase was handled with the utmost of courtesy. Follow-up and delivery were handled in a very professional manner. Would buy from them again.

Sam Levitz customer service has hit a new low. The one thing we could depend on from Sam Levitz was their consistency...consistently late delivering or picking up items after having you stay home for their four hour "window". They have been HOURS late delivering items. Today, they have outdone themselves. They picked up a sofa on Friday for repair (we purchased a warranty for it). They promised the repairs would take place Saturday and the sofa would be returned Sunday. Saturday they called to confirm a four hour delivery window. When they didn't show up by the end of the window (shocker!) we called to find out where our furniture was, only to discover THEY HADN'T EVEN REPAIRED IT YET!!!! They had us stay home ALL morning on Sunday waiting for their sorry butts to return a piece of furniture they never even fixed! In my life, I have never been exposed to worse customer service than at Sam Levitz. This will be the last piece of furniture I purchase there...EVER!
