artic air
biggest rip

waste of 40.00 plus dollars worked for about a week then plug was over heating then quit working at all. I bought it due to living in an RV and having extreme heat this summer. I live on a very fixed income so basically to loss that much money for something that is junk is not really good. Will not recommend your product to anyone would love if the local hardware store where I bought would not carry them any more.

I called Artic Air to come out because my AC stopped blowing cold air. It started to seem more like just cool air coming out and it was slowly getting worse with the temperature getting hotter outside. The AC Man came out within 2 hours of my call on a Saturday. The AC Service man Danny was really nice and seemed very knowledgeable. He was not even here 10 minutes and had already figured out the problem. I had a leak, he fixed it and cleaned my outside unit. Then he checked my AC in the attic and was out of here within 40 minutes.
That’s been over 2 weeks ago and my AC is blowing such cold air, I can leave the temperature between 72 - 75 and stay comfortable.
Thanks again to Artic Air and Danny for such great service.
I will be using them from now on for all of my AC/ Heating needs.

In January, I had a new heating system installed in my attic by Artic Air. On March 14,2019, I discovered wet carpet in my hall and when I opened my hall closet the ceiling and walls were covered in black mold and mildew; my clothes, quilts, boxes, and carpet were soaked. I called Artic Air that morning and they said they could not have a technician out until late that evening. I had a handyman come out and he discovered the leak from my drain pipe. He also pointed out damage to *** that had been inadequately patched, a missing drain cap, which he said was against code, and leaking air from the duct work to the plenum. The only other people who had been in my attic in 14 years were Artic Air techs, so they were responsible. I removed two lawn bags of wet insulation from the attic and got a burning rash on my hands and wrists, in spite of wearing gloves. The Artic Air tech, ***, did not arrive until after 10 P.M. *** admitted stepping on and breaking the drain pipe and said they would pay for repairs. I spoke to Mike W the owner, and he said they had no warranty on drain pipes, but since *** had broken it they would take care of everything. Our handyman had to gut the closets, tear out paneling and sheet rock, rip out carpet from the closet which was ruined, dry everything out with a fan, do mold remediation, and paint with mold preventative primer. Artic Air refused to pay him the amount he charged and claimed they did not want him to finish repairs because he was not insured and bonded. *** brought out payment for the work started and I signed a receipt that stated Artic Air would pay to finish the repairs. They sent their guy, *** - a personal friend of ***´s - out to finish the repairs; he said Artic Air never asked him for proof of insurance and he inferred he was not bonded. *** was unreliable and did lousy work. He would not show up for hours at a time and most days did not call. I would call *** and ask where *** was and when would he be here and his response was: I don´t know where he is, I can´t make him call me, you are not our only customer, and this is very frustrating for me. I was incredulous. I am the person who lost valuable items due to the leak: keepsakes that cannot be replaced, valuable mementos, had to wait days on end and could not leave the house while waiting for *** of *** to show up, lost many nights of sleep worrying about all of this, could not eat and lost five pounds, and he had the nerve to say it was frustrating for him! It took *** over a week to install the drywall and he did a lousy job of taping and floating and painting, which he did not even complete. He did a horrible job. There were drywall mud clumps on the walls and floor, he got paint all over our carpet and paneling, and the paint did not even extend to the ceiling in the closet. He was supposed to finish the repairs and put shelving back in the closet along with a clothes bar, molding along the ceiling, baseboards in the closet and den, and trim. He did none of that. I had to ask for them to put the missing drain cap back on multiple times, and *** just said he was not the tech who removed it. *** put the absolute cheapest insulation in my attic. When I brought all of this to the attention of *** he said they might not finish the repairs and I replied that I would sue. He called back 5 minutes later and said he spoke to the owner, Mike W and I could have my worker finish the repairs and they would pay. My worker had to redo the sheet rock mud and texture the walls. He completed all of the repairs in two days and did an excellent job. I had carpet stains and damage from the leak and Daniel´s mess, that I did not ask Artic Air to repair. On Monday, April 15, I emailed Mike W and requested payment for the completion of repairs. I had not heard back from him or *** on Tuesday, so I called *** at 9:05 A.M. and he said he would pick up the check from the office on Wednesday and bring it to me that day and would call before coming, When I spoke to him on Wednesday he said you cannot quote me that I said I said I would bring the check on Wednesday. As a matter of fact, I can. I documented every conversation I had with Artic Air and recorded the date and time. After several more calls and texts on Thursday, *** said he would bring the check later that day. I asked when and he said he did not know. I stated when they do an AC check they give a two hour window. He said this was not an AC check and he had other jobs to do. So we were again forced to wait at our house all day. I spoke to *** around 8 P.M. and he said he was finishing up a job and would be on his way. I called over an hour later as he had not shown up, and it went to voicemail. After a couple of more attempts to reach him we gave up and went to bed. He showed up at our house at 11:30 P.M at night. Our interaction with Artic Air has been a harrowing ordeal and I do not recommend, nor will ever use Artic Air again. What should have been fixed in a few days took over a month and was acutely distressing to me, my spouse and our pets. The only objective for Artic Air was to pay as little as possible while giving us the royal run around. Our property damage, mental anguish, emotional distress, and inconvenience was of no concern to them. I am deeply disappointed in Mike W and company. I cannot believe this company has an A+ rating with the Revdex.com. I read a few unfavorable reviews on the Revdex.com site and believe they should be downgraded. I would give Artic Air a D minus rating.

Tell us why here...First I would like to say that I am truly sorry to lose a customer of 18 years Artic Air has gone above and beyond to try to resolve this issue *** and I agreed to have her handyman remove the sheet rock and I would pay $400 I agreed I paid then I had a sheet rock company come and repair her sheet rock and I paid $800 for this repair then I received an email from *** that she would like to have her handyman complete the rest of the work and that I would issue a check for $810 I did so and her email stated that this matter would be closed approximate two weeks ago and now I have an issue and an unresolved one ArticAir Invoices all clearly say(NO WARRANTY ON DRAIN LINES NO EXCEPTIONS) but I did my very best to help any way I could At this point Artic Air has paid 2000.00 dollars Don’t know anything more I can do to help,,,very sorry *** gave us a great reference on our website a few years ago we have many many great testimonials from customers on our website thank you every customer is very important and I always try to do the best

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.

The complaint is a matter of principle meant to forewarn other consumers and one I want on the record; no other resolution is required. The reason I reject the statement is because it was a struggle to get Artic Air to pay for the work done; in fact, I had to threaten to sue in order to get them to honor their commitment for repairs. My handyman had informed *** that if more water damage was found in the walls it would cost more for him to tear out and dry out, but they refused to pay more than his initial assessment. The person they sent to my house was inept and caused damage to my property. The attitude and behavior of the technician *** and sheet rock installer *** was disrespectful and unprofessional. As I stated, a situation that should have been handled in a matter of days took over a month. I had to stay at my house and not leave for weeks; make multiple telephone calls, emails, and texts in order to get it resolved and it impacted our lives adversely during the entire time. The way this situation was handled was totally inexcusable.

I had a horrible experience with this company. After two weeks of owner sending his technician they decided my compressor in my a/c was bad and they had to replace unit. When I called and complain about their service, Mike the owner refused to discuss case with me and told technician he wanted to be paid cash. This was on a Friday afternoon knowing full well that it would be difficult to find another company this late on a Friday. This company is a nightmare to work with!!!

Yes there was a small issue first I like to say we are sorry this problem occurred because we did our very best to help with this,we replaced the fan motor in this 14 year old unit trying to keep it going another season but the new motor was bad so we replaced it for free then a few days later the compressor was having a problem over heated and we got it to work again and recommend replacement but we were on our way to pick up the unit to install but this Costumer call and was upset and said do it and then she will be done with us so I decided that it was better for her to call someone else and we gave her a full refund for the work we had done and free motor cause we did not charge nothing for all for the work that was done My beliefs are that if Artic air don’t fix the problem we don’t wont your money thank you for your time it’s some times very hard to please everyone in a city of 3 or 4 million people and we are very sorry that you were threatening and we were forced to refund and refused to give you service

The owner refuses to speak to me directly. I just hope at least he refunds money. The owner told technician he would do job of I gave him $1,900 cash at 3:00 pm knowing full well I would not be able to come up with money.
