[redacted]came in and saw a female saleslady[redacted].but was so friendly and showed us how to use all our options even tho we couldn't purchase a new vehicle....now thats respect and honourable..[redacted]

my car was towed illegally, 2 hours later I went to pick it up, when I went to pick up my car the charges where $320. took 1 hour to tow but charged 3in the apartment complex where I live there is limited handicapped spots, there are movable signs that get moved around all the time, yesterday when I parked in the spot the sign was on the floor next to a handicapped car, I put the sign in front of the handicapped licensed car and parked in the spot, next day ,my neighbor told me I got towed 3.00 p.m, went to go pick my car up at 5.00 p.m and was overcharged, when I asked him to break it down he told me he didn't have to explain anything and that the police will arrest me if I don't leave, please help stop this [redacted]!Desired Settlementi want a refund because I was towed illegally, they shouldn't be able to just put that handicapped sign wherever they want , and its always falling over so not many people can see it on the groundBusiness Response We in fact towed Mr. [redacted]' car per the request of [redacted] apartment complex. He had parking in a handicapped spot and the property manager called us to remove the vehicle. After reporting this to [redacted] PD (town where property is located), we then removed the vehicle. Due to how it was parked we needed to take the right amount of time and use the proper equipment to move his vehicle without damage, which took more than 2.5 hours. He then drove to our shop and proceeded to enter the restricted area of our property in attempts to "steal" his own car back. We confronted him and had to call Milford PD (town where Art's Auto Service is located). He complained about all the above items and also regarding his poor financial situation. At the end of it all he only had $300 and the bill was $324. We accepted this as full payment and he took his vehicle. He has incidently had his second vehicle towed because he decided to park in the handicapped spot again. This gentleman thinks he has special privilege on where he parks. This is not only illegal, but very inconsiderate for those who would need this parking spot due to being handicapped.Sincerely,[redacted] Art's Auto ServiceConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)1st car towed was mazda [redacted] ,towed due to being parked in a handicap parking with no sign present, there is a movable handicap sign that was put in front of my car to have it towed, car was in tow lot for total of 2 hours and was charges $325, guy did me a "favor" and only charged me $300!! 2nd car was towed illegally also because a sticker was never given to me but the car was registered with the office and was also never in handicapped spot, both cars where towed illegally, I also never tried to steal my car back, which is a lie I was simply confused with the layout of the building and actually never got out of my car,I was surrounded by 4 men with my wife and infant child in car, at this time I was actually on the phone with milford police department talking to a police officer when they surrounded me , I informed him I was being surrounded and he told me milford police department will be there. When the first car was towed I have a witness that told me they took less than 5 minutes to hook car up and tow, I also was a witness to my second car being towed, they towed it within 10 minutes of time and overcharged me for a second time!i know this because 15 minutes prior to my car being towed I went down to get my mail, also office told me when they called the tow truck, 1/2 hour before my car was gone and 15 minutes after I recieved my post mail..this time car stayed in tow lot for 24 hours and was charged the same $325 like the first car that was there for only 2 hours, please help. these [redacted] took all of my christmas spending money and have ruined christmas for me and my family, I was charged a total of $640 in 3 days of time, and until today I am worried about my car being towed illegally again for no reason. please help Final Business Response First, just to clear up your confusion on the first tow... you stated you were confused on our building layout when you drove into our back yard. What really happened is that you drove into an area that is clearly marked to "KEEP OUT" and report to the main office. This is why you were "surrounded" by 2 guys telling you to exit the area. As far as the second tow, your vehicle was equipped with an "aftermarket" spoiler package which has spoilers and plastic add on features that make the car lower and more difficult to tow and move. We had to use "go-jacks" to properly lift and maneuver the vehicle onto the flatbed so there would be no damage while towing. This took extra time which is reflected in the bill. As far as "illegal" towing... we had direct request from the property owner regarding both tows, and the Police Department was also informed about both. Sincerely,[redacted] Art's Auto ServiceFinal Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)took him 20 min to tow my car out of here...still doesnt explain the charges. and again the first car did not have any spoilers or any custom plastics, still billed me for 3 hours $325, and 300 last time. [redacted]!, average tow should be $140, I was just notified buy the police that the condo managment was not paying this tow company to tow my car, instead I paid for both parties, please help, im still out alot of money
