Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
I reject Attorney A[redacted]s’ response. I told A[redacted] I did not understand the legal terms and phases of the prenuptial agreement. Most Americans have difficulty understanding legal contracts. I am a foreigner but I understand common conversations between Americans and I engage in those conversations. A[redacted] made the small job of explaining the contract complicated by telling me to have the contract translated into Tagalog by the County Court Interpreter. I contacted the County Court Interpreter and he told me he works for the County Government and does not translate contracts into Tagalog. Furthermore the Tagalog language has only about 7,000 words compared to English language of over 20,000 words. Some of the English of the 1 word English language legal terms would have to be translated into multiple paragraphs which would make the contract confusing. A[redacted] is rarely in her office and sets her appointments 2 weeks into the future. I had a deadline to meet so I could not wait another month to go back to A[redacted] office for her to finish the job. I had no choice but to pay another Lawyer to read the contract and sign at bottom of page he explained it to me. The other Lawyer explained the contract to me clearly and did not make the process complicated. Actually I already understood the contract after A[redacted] explained it to me but A[redacted] failed to sign the bottom of the contract that she explained it to me. Time and money wasted with A[redacted].Sincerely,[redacted]
I disagree with this complaint. However, the Rules of Professional Conduct that govern attorneys, prevent me from providing a detailed response. I would appreciate closure of this complaint without it being posted online since I am prevented from responding to the Revdex.com in detail. Thank you.
