On or about August 1st, Mr [redacted] came to our dealership in search of a vehicle. We came to an agreement on the vehicle and price. Mr. [redacted] asked if we could get him a loan and he filled out an application for credit. On his behalf, we submitted his request to several lenders. The response from all... lenders was that he did not meet their criteria for approval. It was suggested that he may try to find someone willing to apply for the loan with him (co-signer). We found one lender that was willing to finance his application, however when the new terms were presented to Mr. ***, he decided that the loan did not fit his budget and declined the deal. In no way did we deliberately or maliciously attempt to effect his credit rating. We merely submit applications for our customers. The lenders determine the eligibility for acceptance and we regret we could not be of more assistance. We would suggest that Mr. [redacted] contact those lenders directly to see if they may be able to help restore his credit score. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
