To Whom It May Concern: The alleged complaint has been reviewed The account was audited for charging and billing accuracy based on the physician notes, and services rendered The audit revealed no errors The account was reviewed by phone with the insurance company provider representative and found to be accurately processed, with amounts due by the patient to be correct The patient calculation statement that was given and initialed by the patient prior to service denotes that it is only an estimate of charges and is not a guarantee of the total charges that may be billed The patient was made aware of Asante’s Financial Assistance program and our interest free payment plan Respectfully, Tonya R [redacted] Patient Financial Services Manager Asante [redacted] @asante.org 541-789-
Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: It is still not clear to me why this un-successful procedure should cost me an additional $2,dollars; added to my previous payment of $1,the total will be $3, I feel like I am paying for the physician's refusal to admit that she couldn't complete the procedure After half an hour of attempts, why didn't she stop? Instead, she continued to try for one hour So I am expected to pay for a longer time in the OR My bill from the hospital in Portland, where the procedure was successfully accomplished, was considerably less I have already paid for the physician and nurse anesthetist As I was under anesthesia, I was unable to have any input into whether or not to continue with attempts I respect this physician, but don't see why I am left to pay more for her decision to continue, thus raising my costs for using the OR Sincerely, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: It is still not clear to me why this un-successful procedure should cost me an additional $2,187.03 dollars; added to my previous payment of $1,725.50 the total will be $3,912.53.
