Consumer Alert: Outrageous prices, price gouging and other dubious practicesOn 9/20/Chance came to my house to diagnose a pilot light problem with my water heaterTurns out that the combination gas control and thermostat was faulty, and that the water heater itself had a leak after only years of serviceKudos to Chance for a top notch diagnosisUltimately, the water heater needed full replacementThat is when things went waywardBecause my unit was under warranty, the new heater was free except for a government required upgrade costing $I overheard Chance speaking to the plumbing shop where he was quoted the $chargeHowever, when the price was quoted to me, suddenly the charge was $Then I was quoted $for installationI asked Chance for a detailed, itemized price list for the installation and he replied that installation was essentially all labor and that "labor charges are flat rate." We further discussed why the labor was so high and he told me guys were required because the heater weighs "over pounds" and it had to be "muscled into place." He also told me that "sometimes it takes between 1-hours to drain the old heater." I offered to drain it myself ahead of their arrivalA simple Google search revealed that the replacement water heater has a shipping weight of poundsChance also told me that if I had to purchase the heater from them it would cost $Again, a simple Google search revealed retail prices for the heater between $1200-and installed prices around $After I balked at the first estimate of $($+ 1380) I was offered a "discount" of $($+ 1200) by emailI declined by email.Then on the morning of 9/21/I received a call from Nick asking if a further discount would secure my businessI told him no and why Bottom line: I went to Ferguson Plumbing in Tempe, paid $for the replacement heater (($upgrade fee and $handling fee plus tax), and now I will install the heater myself (I have to shut off the water and gas valves temporarily, drain the tank, unscrew connections), for a total cost of $I can take the old heater to the dump one mile from my house or leave it at the curb on the quarterly collection day for free Every word I wrote above is provable by emails sent to me by ASAP Plumbing and my receipts from Ferguson Plumbing, so Nick, don't bother to call

of their plumbers did a fantastic job of fixing the leak under my kitchen sink Both men were total gentlemen, professional, friendly and easy to talk to They were straight forward in telling me what they needed to do to fix the problem and the cost I highly recommend this company, especially if you are a woman They treated me with absolute respect at all times It is always a pleasure to work with people who are dedicated to taking care of their customers Their price was more than fair

On Jan 10th, 2018, ASAP sent a plumber to fix two issues on my rentalOne was kitchen faucet replacement, charged $400; another one was drain cleaning in master bathroom showing, charged $After I called their office regarding kitchen faucet cost, I was given $discountSo the final total cost for these two work was $***Kitchen faucet replacement cost $400*** !!!!!

ASAP Plumbing does a great job and has extremely fair pricing. They did a water heater install for me literally hundreds less than Home Depot. Their service techs were efficient and neat. Will use them in the future for all my plumbing needs.
