It is not at all clear to us from Mr*** complaint whether he has never done business (under any business name) with the customer who filed a complaint through us, or whether he has in fact done business with her, but under the name of a predecessor company. Could you please
ask him to clarify this matter? If the claimant did business with a predecessor company that was closed for any reason, such as bankruptcy, we will ask her to amend her complaint to reflect the correct company nameIf she filed the complaint against entirely the wrong party, we will ask her to redirect the complaint to the right party at the right address We are surprised that Mr*** has not contacted us directly since the claim was mailed to him twice (on 6/1/and again on 6/8/17) at the name and address provided by the claimant Although rare, it is possible for a claimant to file against the wrong partyIn any such case, once contacted by the business we would immediately take steps to verify the right party.
