When I tried to contact my bank (previously Intervest, now Bank of the Ozarks), the phone number on their website rerouted me to a sales callA person that I thought was connected to the bank I was calling offered $gift certificate to spend at Target or Walmart, if I subscribe to a shopping program for $I agreed and then I got a letter days later from "Ultimate Daily Savings" saying that I should log on to a non-valid web site to claim my certificate and that if I don't cancel the service within another couple of days, I will be charged $monthly from now on (not only the link to claim the certificate was non-valid, but also the link to ultimate daily savings was obviously a not a legit business, with multiple warnings around the internet that it is simply a credit card scam and their web site has the same owner/author as many other similar web sites which are simply a scam)When I checked my credit card, in addition to the $that I had authorized for falsely advertised service (the company name appearing on the credit card was MPI), I also had pending charges from Asentra Health for $and for $I called Asentra Health days after the unauthorized charge had appeared on my credit card, and a customer service representative who only identified herself by first name said that they have no record of my name or any account of my nameShe suggested that probably I have been scammed, and that was certainly the case, but the charge was in their company's nameI wonder how many innocent old people get caught by this scam and end up with hundreds of dollars withdrawn from their credit cards!

A person that I thought was connected to the bank I was calling offered $100 gift certificate to spend at Target or Walmart, if I subscribe to a shopping program for $1.95. I agreed and then I got a letter 10 days later from "Ultimate Daily Savings" saying that I should log on to a non-valid web site to claim my certificate and that if I don't cancel the service within another couple of days, I will be charged $29.95 monthly from now on (not only the link to claim the certificate was non-valid, but also the link to ultimate daily savings was obviously a not a legit business, with multiple warnings around the internet that it is simply a credit card scam and their web site has the same owner/author as many other similar web sites which are simply a scam).
