Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Hello [redacted] ,I am responding to the comments [redacted] with ASG made on August 22, First of all [redacted] is claiming we had one contract That is not true We had contracts (I attached the contracts) The one he sent to USAA was a quote to have everything done due to the water damage Mr [redacted] thought that would be best instead of having several quotes plus he was working with all of them that would do the work So he submitted the estimate to USAA [redacted] the total cost of $20,for everything then [redacted] drew up another contract for the work he was going to do, which was $10,250.I paid [redacted] $10,(I attached the copies of the checks)I paid [redacted] exactly how the contract stated The final installment was suppose to be given to him when the job was completed As you can see he did not complete the job, he threaten me that he wouldn’t finish unless I paid the final payment (my neighbor an off duty police officer was a witness), he left my kitchen unusable [redacted] is also stating that he did additional work I’m not sure what extra work he is talking about HE never told me to pay for additional work(Because there was no extra work)He also talks about a change order I Never saw a change order, so how can I refuse to pay him when I wasn’t given one I paid [redacted] as the contract stated, [redacted] did not honor his part of the contract.I did stay with the fourth installment of $750, because the 4th installment was due on completion of the contract Why wouldn’t I pay him when I already paid him $10, As for the Vent a hood [redacted] said the roofer closed off the vent He wanted to charge me $but when I told him I just had my roof replaced last year he backed off I called the roofer and he came that night No Delay and No issues at all Why would I pay [redacted] to cut a hole for $so Yes I called my roofer which is my neighbor’s father.Another accusation Mr [redacted] is claiming is the cabinets When [redacted] and I talked about the cabinets he asked if I wanted the cabinets to be like the current cabinets which do need handles due to the indention on the doors or do I want handles I told [redacted] that I want them without the handle because that would cost more [redacted] agreed but when we got the cabinets they did not have the indention so I bought handles so he could put them on since he didn’t order them as I requested Of course, [redacted] was upset but he is the one who messed up so he should have just installed them [redacted] wanted to charge me $per handle but his worker was doing it for $a handle That is the person [redacted] is He makes the mistake then wants to over charge you So I called the worker directly and he installed them for $3.The same person made the missing shelves and finished the pantry One more thing the diagram [redacted] attached is a forge I have the copy of the diagram to show what I wanted The crook he is changed it and submitted it to you UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!I never received a refund of $(another Lie) and I don’t know what the issue is with the Lazy Susan It’s my kitchen and I told him what I wanted and [redacted] in business years should have done it as I requested and paid for So my cabinets are wrong, the cabinets did not have the indention as requested so I still had to pay extra, my pantry was left with ply-wood, and once my appliances were installed we realized that [redacted] didn’t measure right because now the dishwasher and stove hit We can’t open the dishwasher all the way.Its sad to know that [redacted] has been in business years He’s untrustworthy and a thieve This experience has stressed me out Having trust on your contractor and then they leave you a kitchen that is unusable I would never recommend ASG to anyone The pain and stress was increased when he was demanding more money but he never told me what he did that was extra Contractors like [redacted] should be accountable.I had good intentions and paid on time per the stages he was workingOriginally I was going to donate everything I didn’t want but [redacted] ask if he could keep the floor for his worker so I told him that would be great (To know someone can use it instead of throwing it all out made me feel good) I was also getting rid of the stove, desk, chairs and dishwasher but [redacted] said he knew someone that could use the appliances so he said he would take whatever I didn’t want So I gave him the Stove, Dishwasher, Chairs, Desk, all the left over wood floor and clothes for his daughter and a king size sleigh bed.I also called to make a police report and to show the officer how the contractor ( [redacted] , ASG) left my kitchen I did tell the officer that he still had my shelves and I asked if it was illegal to call him The officer said no There were no threats, I just wanted my shelves Finally my comments towards the harassing and slander I did call over and over to get the shelves that I paid for He was such a coward to answer my calls so I just wanted to annoy him As for the slander Well there was no slander, [redacted] is a crook, he did break a contract that we both signedNo one should be allowed to take advantage of others.He also states he’s never had any issues with anyone That is also a lie He told me some lady took him to small claims court and he had to pay her [redacted] is liar and I have no respect for him I just want to settle this so I can move on This has been a nightmare, stressful, painful and took so much out of me having to drive back and forth I want to state Mrs.*** was paid 20,plus due to her claim that she filed to USAAThe job was not completed due to Mrs*** not paying her change ordersHer neighbor that claims to be a witness is also a witness to seeing her elderly parents remove VCT tile that was under her laminate flooring due to her not wanting to pay another contractor she hiredHe's also witness to her complaints that all we do is charge for every little thingLike I had explained to Mrs.*** (***) there will be a fee if work is completed that is not listed on her contract.As far as the Vent hood it was installed but not connected because her roofer closed it off and it would have been a fire hazard if I would have plugged it in .As far as the estimate went I was not going to vent the air going out I quoted her a vent hood that would vent the air through charcoal filters*** purchase her own vent hood with out charcoal filters and needed to be vented out
As far as the handles I have a screen shot in my last email that *** denied the handles due to wanting a lower price on cabinetsI also had not given her a bid to install handles like she states It would have only been a rough estimate verbally
As far as the diagram thats what *** ask for if thats not want she wanted why would she install her granite and not make the corrections neededI would Never forge any documents
Yes the Pantry was left with plywood due to the contract stated no paint was included and she refused it. The lazy Susan is a L shape corner cabinet that would of moved the dishwasher over to the right but *** Refused to pay the cost of the lazy Susan.*** last statement she said she gave everything to me but she posted online that I took everything due to non payment and I ran off with 10,and several other accusations /SlanderMrs.*** contradicts herself on several reviews she had posted all over the web on different sites which she has deleted most of them but I still have them on file.At this time the company will take the loss of the last withdrawal of and take the loss of the change orders of for work she received and was aware of.At this time there will be no refund due to the was work that was completedI did leave her home and told her politely that change orders had to be paid before we continued and yes I was a little frustrated but never treated her with any disrespect I never threatened her like she statesI had almost completed contractor except for countertops and sink but not because I refused to go back its because she stated she did not want me back at her property and had another contractor complete jobIm sorry that her dishwasher doesn't open fully and thats an issue we could have avoid if I would have been able to complete my contract and she wouldn't have hired other workers to finishAll of the 10,she paid me was for work that was completed She has harassed me to the point I had to go downtown and speak with a detective about filing chargers which took me several days before I got to that point and two police reports being filed on herShe also continues to slander my company and state these liesTwo officers and a detective informed her she was being too excessive when I handed them the phoneYet she continued to call my phone and send text non stop at all hours of the day and night.For the record I have not been to small claims like she states and never had to pay a client back for any of my services.I am extremely flexible and I understand that remodeling can add up especially for those unforeseen issues that cant be quoted until everything is all taken down and opened up which I explained to her.I fully understand that everyone is entitled to have there opinions but I will not stand for a lot of these statements she's has made about my companyI'm an honest and hard working and take pride in my work.

Hello *** let me introduce my self my name is *** *** with ASG Homebuilder I been in business for over yearsI don't have theses types of issues.I did do a job for *** *** we wrote up a contract with total cost of 10,250. I broke the total amount down into withdrawalsAs
you can see in picture attached below.Our contract did not include electrical due to not knowing what was needed to be done but once walls were taken down I was able to give her a price on the electrical which was additional to the contractElectrical was paid by *** *** she also paid a total of withdrawals out of as the work was completed. Problems started to occur with Mrs*** *** as she kept adding additional work to the contractAfter the 3rd withdrawal I completed the job excluding the installation of the countertops /sink / dishwasherAt that point I ask her to pay me for all the additional workShe refused to pay meAt this point I told Mrs.*** I would need to be paid in full for my change orders before I continue so I loaded my tools and leftAll the countertops dishwasher sink were all there at the property I just needed to install themShe also stayed with the 4th and final payment of the completion of contract and the change orders. Mrs***s vent hood was installed and mounted but we had an issueThe issue was that her roofer closed off the vent that the flex hose hooks up to and had no way to vent the heat and grease to the outside so being a safety issue I did not plug in and recommend she not use it until issue was fixedFixing that also would have been a change order but *** *** refused to pay and she said she would contact her roofer. Her cabinets were installed just like she requested I also have a diagram with her initials stating that's what she wanted also in picture belowI recommend that she install a lazy Susan in the corner that she refused. When I pick up *** *** cabinets the manufacture left out shelfs on accidentI do have the shelfs at this time*** *** refused any hardware such as handlesThen at the last minute she goes and buys handles and wants me to install them I explain that she refused them and there would be additional charge witch *** *** refused to pay. I give *** *** a refund of final payment completion of contract that was never paid due to not installing the countertops sink and dishwasherBut the change orders have been completed and that balance is that is owedI don't like placing blame on anyone I'm extremely easy to work withI'm upset and wish things didn't end the way that they did I've been in business years and never had any issues. Iam going to include photos of the contract the layout of the cabinets and the order she wanted them in also a screen shot of the text that she did not want handles on her cabinets*** *** also hired of my workers to do work for her witch I had no idea about tell she told me those workers no longer work for meI included that screen shot as wellI also had to file police reports on *** *** due to her harassing and slandering of my company if there is anything that you need feel free to contact me thank you

I am rejecting this response because: The response [redacted] sent makes no sense.  Yes I was given around $19,000 from USAA.  That doesn't mean I was going to give it all to [redacted].  I had floors, materials ect to get my home livable.   Bottom line... I NEVER saw a change order.  He ordered my cabinets wrong so why would I have to pay him for his mistakes.
