Ashburn Inspections Reviews (2)

If you are looking for a home inspector, Ashburn Inspections should be the absolute LAST company you would want to do your business with MrA*** completed a home inspection on our home that was nothing but a waste of our time and money and it was completely unprofessional Since we were dissatisfied with his work, MrA*** promised to refund our money Currently, after waiting several months, we are STILL waiting on the refund despite several efforts to reach out to him
On the actual day of our home inspection, MrA***:
* Told us we were all going to die if we stepped foot inside the house after his carbon dioxide monitor was triggered We proceeded anyway into the house
* Did not complete a full home inspection After two hours, he abruptly packed up, collected his money and leftHe completely skipped over our home’s chimney and several other areas and did not offer any sort of reason for doing so
* Over exaggerated many minor detailsFor example, he told us that our kitchen tile will start cracking soonWhen asked how this would happen he responded that if you put a large aquarium on the tile for several years, it will cause it to crackWe never told him we were going to do anything like that nor do we plan on it
* Almost his entire focus of the home inspection was on cosmeticsHe pointed out a crooked microwave and chips here or there, but did not focus on the structure of the house (as he should have)
* Anything he found wrong, he just so happened to promote his company’s ability to fix the problem
* Warned us many times that our foundation could crumble any day and that water around the house was an issue, but completely failed to put these in the post-inspection reportWhen question, he said there was not enough evidence and that the house was solid, but during the inspection kept stressing this issue again and again and againIt was as if he was trying to scare us away from the home
* Acted in a very unprofessional manner He wondered aloud to us why the home’s sellers were selling the house, and noted that he assumed it was because they were getting a divorce since they had young children MrA*** made up details and stories of how the contractor cut corners, but it was all unfoundedEverything was done to code and at high qualityHe also made rude remarks about our realtor, who had nothing to do with anythingWhen wanting clarification on his home inspection observations, he became very defensive and refused to elaborate on any details
* Was very unknowledgeable about the surrounding neighborhood despite living minutes from the home He openly questioned why our neighbor was burning in his yard despite the fact burning is allowed He also told us how much of an issue it was to get the police in our area since it was only state police that policed our neighborhood This turned out to be a lie
Since we were so dissatisfied with MrA*** and his company, we had to go out and schedule an entirely new home inspection with another company This second inspection led to no issues, and we have been happily living at our home sinceWe highly suggest you do not waste your time or money on this company Even though we cannot get our money back, we are STILL waiting to get our promised money back

If you are looking for a home inspector, Ashburn Inspections should be the absolute LAST company you would want to do your business with. Mr. A[redacted] completed a home inspection on our home that was nothing but a waste of our time and money and it was completely unprofessional. Since we were dissatisfied with his work, Mr. A[redacted] promised to refund our money. Currently, after waiting several months, we are STILL waiting on the refund despite several efforts to reach out to him.

On the actual day of our home inspection, Mr. A[redacted]:

* Told us we were all going to die if we stepped foot inside the house after his carbon dioxide monitor was triggered. We proceeded anyway into the house.

* Did not complete a full home inspection. After two hours, he abruptly packed up, collected his money and left. He completely skipped over our home’s chimney and several other areas and did not offer any sort of reason for doing so.

* Over exaggerated many minor details. For example, he told us that our kitchen tile will start cracking soon. When asked how this would happen he responded that if you put a large aquarium on the tile for several years, it will cause it to crack. We never told him we were going to do anything like that nor do we plan on it.

* Almost his entire focus of the home inspection was on cosmetics. He pointed out a crooked microwave and chips here or there, but did not focus on the structure of the house (as he should have).

* Anything he found wrong, he just so happened to promote his company’s ability to fix the problem.

* Warned us many times that our foundation could crumble any day and that water around the house was an issue, but completely failed to put these in the post-inspection report. When question, he said there was not enough evidence and that the house was solid, but during the inspection kept stressing this issue again and again and again. It was as if he was trying to scare us away from the home.

* Acted in a very unprofessional manner. He wondered aloud to us why the home’s sellers were selling the house, and noted that he assumed it was because they were getting a divorce since they had young children. Mr. A[redacted] made up details and stories of how the contractor cut corners, but it was all unfounded. Everything was done to code and at high quality. He also made rude remarks about our realtor, who had nothing to do with anything. When wanting clarification on his home inspection observations, he became very defensive and refused to elaborate on any details.

* Was very unknowledgeable about the surrounding neighborhood despite living 10 minutes from the home. He openly questioned why our neighbor was burning in his yard despite the fact burning is allowed. He also told us how much of an issue it was to get the police in our area since it was only state police that policed our neighborhood. This turned out to be a lie.

Since we were so dissatisfied with Mr. A[redacted] and his company, we had to go out and schedule an entirely new home inspection with another company. This second inspection led to no issues, and we have been happily living at our home since. We highly suggest you do not waste your time or money on this company. Even though we cannot get our money back, we are STILL waiting to get our promised money back.
