Asheville Window & Door came out to my house to measure for a new enlarged window in my kitchenThe new window plus installation cost over $4,When the new window arrived, I was told it was too large for the area they measured (said they must've measured wrong), would have to be offset by inches and therefore would not be centered on the kitchen sinkLater, the workers put a x through the screenporch -- which they fixed a few days laterSome electrical wires had to be moved and when they left for the day, I discovered a number of outlets didn't work including the disposal and the dishwasher - it was repaired four days laterAfter the wiring was fixed and they left for the weekend, I discovered the lights in the porch and in the living room would only work if I switched on a light in the kitchenThat wiring problem was fixed the following weekThe quality of the finishing trim around the window was very poorThere were gaps in the corners (poor mitering), holes where they put in screws and didn't fill evenly with putty, and rough surfaces that should've been sanded where they did fill with puttyThe owner of Asheville Window & Door did come out to inspect the work and later returned with a tube of caulk, wood putty and a sanding block so that I could fix the issues myselfThat was nice of him Was I satisfied with the process and the final product? Would you be? Would I recommend them to any of my friends? No
