In September 2019 I paid a $2000 deposit for New Years Eve event and decided I did not want to utilize their services. There was no contract signed or given to me. I asked for the money to be refunded in November and they agreed to refund half of it and held onto the other half "to be used as deposit for future event". I hesitantly agreed. I later found out that they price gouged another business and decided that I did not want to do business with them at all. I've been asking for the other $1000 to be refunded and it has not been.
I put a $2000 deposit for services I then decided not to use. They only refunded $1000 and kept the other v$1000
Refund the other $1000
Good afternoon, I have been in contact with the claimant in this email regarding the situation. I have agreed to refund his remaining deposit. My only request is that he remove for social media and our *** business sites all negative comments and reviews on said sites.
Unfortunately, the situation has escalated to this level as the client believes he is entitled to a refund. Per our verbal agreement and message agreement, he isn't. He agreed to accepting half of the money refunded and later on changed his mind.
I prefer to move forward as this negativity only take away my our creative process as a gourmet catering company.
