Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: This is unacceptable. It has been almost a year now, and we should not be tasked with the job of jumping through hoops to get our deposit back. We rented an apartment from Ashler Oaks, we gave Ashler Oaks a $200 deposit. We cleaned our apartment to the best of our ability and gave our keys back 2 days early at Ashler Oaks Apartments. You/They certainly took our money at the beginning of the month each month when rent was due. We did our jobs as tenants. This is not an unreasonable request. We are owed this money. You say you have no record of me, but it's strange, because since we moved out at the end of April 2017 (when you say you took over), Ashler Oaks kept sending us BILLS to our NEW apartment saying we owed them rent. For an apartment we were no longer living in. We were getting these notices for months, and we repeatedly had to go back to Ashler Oaks Apartments to get this corrected. There is obviously some record of us previously living there. It just took months for us to be taken out of the system. If you deleted our records completely, that is not our fault. We are still owed our deposit, and the 2 days rent we paid that we were no longer living there. Another thing to mention is my boyfriend lived with me at Ashler Oaks. So it may be his name on the lease as the primary person. If we were getting any kind of assistance about this from Ashler Oaks/the management, we could've straightened that out already. If you would like his name, you can e-mail/call me and I will give it to you. I also have every single bill we were given from Ashler Oaks, including ones where we were no longer living there, if that helps. And I have our leases we signed and a copy of where we paid our deposit. If your files are missing information, please just ask. I'll be more than happy to get this information to you. Again. Regards,[redacted]
