We are in business to accommodate each client we serve to the fullest of our capabilities not cause stressDuring the sales process and consulting phase we require certain definitive information in writing from the client to prepare a service contract- this is the purpose
of the estimate In order for each client to receive a formal scheduling we require a deposit to confirm a guaranteed scheduled date along with a detailed service contractEach job we serve requires different preparation and that preparation varies, in this case The *** never completed a final request thus The *** never received a scheduled date nor did they ever make a deposit and we had no delays in providing them pricing or our changing availability. Original contact with The *** was in early May when they received an in home estimate for an upcoming move they were shopping and planning at the end of MayDuring the estimate Mrs*** was not certain how much packing, organizing and moving her and husband would be doingWe provided her with our hourly rates for moving help along with a quote that we could do as much or as little as they neededWe never heard back from them to finalize anything. ( A Month later) In early June Mrs*** called our client service line and and reported that their move didn’t go forward in May and they were planning the move for sometime the end of June or July but she was still not certainThe same day we called her back to reschedule another estimate which was scheduled for that Friday June 9th at 1pmOur estimator was in route and received a voice mail message that Mrs*** had an emergency and could make the appointment without any follow up to rescheduleThe following week Mrs *** called to confirm her moving dates which by that time we were not availableThere were no delays in pricing or lack of communication from our office, all our office correspondence is timed and stamped. At no point during the correspondence from the beginning of May through the middle of June had The *** ever confirmed a definitive service request or scope of work for us to perform of which is a necessity to formulate a quote and do a formal schedulingWe reserve the right as any business to qualify or deny service to anyone at anytime under the credit extension laws and the unified commercial code. As in any business we are not perfect but we learn from our own faults and take others comments serious and we discuss any complaint with everyone in our company even the mechanic We sincelery wish the *** the best well being and please accept our apologies as we meant no harm or to cause anyone stress. Thanks, Alfred

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I called and spoke to [redacted] at the business. We agreed on a $300 settlement that [redacted] agreed to overnight today from Rhode Island.

Mr. [redacted] on 4/21 scheduled a small load out for June 10 consisting of:  1 full size bed, 1 sleigh bed, 2 night tbl, 2 dresser, 1 small desk, 1 glass end table, 32” tv pack by owner, 6 pictures pack by owner, kit table, 2 chair, 2 recliner, 4 stuff chair, 1 magazine rack, 2 end table, 2...

patio table, 2 patio chair, and all content pack by owner. Mr [redacted] was given a time-line for  of 4 hour at a discounted hourly rate because he scheduled well in advance “off season" of his date. In the interim- Mr. [redacted] discovered that he was a friend of my [redacted] and he called me on my cell phone to make me aware of that and to add that he was expecting a deal. I had explained to Mr. [redacted] that he already received a discounted rate of $150 per hour instead of the $175 per hour and that the labor is on a commission basis and that was the best I could do.On Monday June 8- two days before Mr [redacted] loading date- he informed me that he would need 3 wardrobe boxes for hanging garments and also that I should bring 10 medium cartons to be ready to pack some loose items. I explained to him that I had another job scheduled and I would certainly do my best. I took him on his word. When we arrived at the load out on June 10- we discovered that nothing was packed- "absolutely nothing” and against my better judgement I should have refused to service the job. That type of service requires planning and a full day of time plus materials cost. Additionally we had another appointment that day with the sheriff who also had scheduled well in advance and its not fair business to make another client suffer because of anothers disorganization.Never the less- we discussed a plan with Mr. [redacted]- that we would go get more materials and be able to pack most of his things. We did not charge Mr [redacted] for the time it took to get the materials And Mr. [redacted] agreed to the terms. However, during the pack and load- we refused to pack certain used toiletries which are not part of any pack and Mr. [redacted] became disgrunteled and started complaining that “he was in charge of many moves in his career” and we were not providing the service that he needed and also disrespectful of us. I informed Mr. [redacted] that we were completed packing and loading almost everything as he agreed with the exception of his knives and forks and small misc items from one closet which Mr [redacted] stated that he would get later.Mr [redacted] left us waiting for an hour after that waiting to get paid. there was no one on the job site that wanted to be involved any further with Mr [redacted] which is certainly our right. Mr [redacted] agreed to the terms and conditions and paid us for 5 hours plus materials which totaled $925. The price which was one hour longer than his original quote and included an entire pack. A job the like hat would cost $1500-$2000. Later that day Mr [redacted] called and expressed dissatisfaction that he had to take his own knives and forks and small miscellaneous himself. He also stated that we did a great job and would recommend us.  I told him to to think of what he would like for compensation and that I valued his business and wanted him to have an exceptional experience. It ended very well. On July 4th weekend Mr [redacted] started calling leaving messages that he was contacting his attorney. I was not available over the holiday weekend. I contacted Mr [redacted] on Monday July 6th and again on July 13, Mr [redacted] did not take my call and does not have an active voicemail at that time.On July 23 Mr [redacted] contacted me and requested $250 for a refund. I explained to him I would let the owner “ Teresa" know. She declined and again I called him on July 27 and the 30 but he does not take my call or have voice mail. Every call here is recorded and logged. If Mr [redacted] is still dissatisfied I will request the original $250 refund to be mad in good faith and that is what Mr. [redacted] requested. Please feel free to call me at anytime to process that [redacted]
