To Whom It May Concern:Due to attorney/client confidentiality, I am able to give limited information through this response. This client retained my services for a complicated contested case on February 4, 2016. The initial retainer fee was $or $per hour, whichever is
greater This was a minimal retainer, considering the complex issues with her case Per the fee agreement, client was to make a down payment in the amount of $2,on February 4, 2016, a $1,payment on February 19, 2016, and then biweekly payments beginning on March 4, 2016. The last initial retainer payment was due on April 15, 2016. Client paid the $down payment on February 4, then a $on February 25, 2016, $on March 17, 2016, $on April 14, 2016, $on May 12, and the last payment she made was in the amount of $on June 10, 2016. To date, client has only made retainer payments totaling $4,and is in breach of her contract Client has failed to follow my legal advice. She also requested to put her case on hold several times throughout the course of representation, while she attempted to “work things out”. Between the client’s several requests to start, stop, and restart the case, the case became more complicated, as other legal entities became involved causing more complex issues to ariseI communicated with the client when communication was necessary. Repeated text messaging and telephone calls required nearly constant attention to the case. Consistent with the fee agreement addendum that was acknowledged by the client, each call, email or text message received/and or responded to warranted a charge to the client’s account.Sincerely,*** ** ***Attorney at Law
