ASI Credit Union

Review: ASI Federal Credit Union located in Harahan, Louisiana has very poor customer service and is very inconsistent with services. One thing, however, that is consistent is the fact that each time I call, the average hold time for a customer service representative is 15 or more minutes. My Chevy Tahoe is financed by ASI Credit Union of Harahan, LA and was involved in an accident involving tornadoes out of state in Wisconsin. My insurance company promptly paid the claim with the check made out to me and ASI credit union for repairs to be made on my vehicle. In the mean time, repairs were being made to my vehicle costing over $10,000 in damages. ASI has refused to release the funds to the repair shop that has completed repairs on my vehicle. The reasons ASI representatives state funds are not release us due to my assigned loan officer ([redacted]) is on vacation from last week through Wed of this week. On Friday, August 9th, after being on hold for over 20 minutes I spoke to [redacted] at ASI who stated ASI needed a receipt showing repairs were made. I informed her that was sent via overnight delivery with confirmation of receipt. [redacted] then states my loan officer would have to release those funds to pay for repairs of my vehicle. After strongly discussing my dissatisfaction with the length of time I was having to rent a car to wait on ASI to send the check to the repair shop, [redacted] assured me she would handle the matter first thing on Monday morning. Monday afternoon, I had not received a phone call and was pressed to rent the car longer so I called ASI and [redacted] was on another line and informed the representative ([redacted]) that was on the phone with me that"nothing could be done today."I asked to speak to the Vice Pres and was told that person was not available but would give the message to her manager named [redacted].I asked if [redacted] would call me back today and was told "yes." I am very tired of lies and tired of ASI holding money that my insurance company pd for repairs that is owed to repair shop.Desired Settlement: I am requesting the check to be issued to repair shop immediately and I want reimbursement for the rental car and the days that I had to miss work due to ASI not releasing or endorsing the funds as they promised to do. Every time we call ASI Credit Union, not a single representative knows what to do and the case has been explained many times. This is not a way to treat customers and they sure do not want to wait on loan payments from their customers. This is no different.
