Asian Time

Review: A few co-workers and I ordered from Asian Time and received prompt delivery. However, the driver showed up and demanded that my co-worker give him all of our change as a tip instead of accepting the reasonable tip he was being given. My co-worker then denied the driver a tip due to his rudeness. When we received the food, it was unpresentable. The beef in our Thai rice looked raw, the calamari looked like a rubbery, breaded "something- else". The Pad Thai noodles were also rubbery looking, and packed into a container too small for the portion. The coconut rice with shrimp was not as bad, but given the condition of the other items, I did not want to take a chance. When I called the restaurant, the employee I spoke with argued with me over the quality of the food and when I asked to speak to a manager to request a refund, the employee said he'd have the manager call back. When I received a call, I spoke with a woman who said she was the manager and who also rudely argued with me instead of offering to correct the situation with a refund as requested. The manager also berated our concern for our health given the condition of the food, saying "How could you know it's bad if you didn't even try it? You're buying food not shopping in a store." I replied with the question, "Would you eat something if it looked like it could make you sick?" Needless to say, my co-workers and I are extremely dissatisfied with the lack of courtesy and the unbelieveable rudeness displayed by the employees at Asian Time. Before hanging up, I made it clear to the manager that I'd make sure she never had business from any Con Edison employees ever again.Desired Settlement: A full refund of $35.95 (paid in cash) and better customer service from this restaurant-- should we choose to ever order there again.
