Saturday I developed a leak in the roof, folks I had used in the past unavailable, so I called H&S Roofing, oldline company in CharlotteThey are wonderful, fearing the worst they were kind enough to see me promptly. The estimator, [redacted] came out early this morning identified and fixed problems on the roof created by a previous contractHe walked the entire roof to check it out thoroughly I am beyond pleased with the friendly attitude and professional manner of their customer service and the people in the field

We have been in communication with customer. We have been to her home and viewed the items which need correction and agreed what needs to be done. The items have been addressed and a date has been scheduled for completion of the work to address all issues identified when we went to her
home

H and S roofing was great at coming to the job and giving an estimate immediatelyWe were in a hurry since a tree limb had fallen on the houseThe contractors were good at getting the job started but one of them stepped thru ceiling twiceThis damaged the sheet rock and created a mess inside the houseH and S promised to pay for the repair but never did
They did the work without pulling a permit and the city called me weeks later to ask me why the permit was not pulledThe company then pulled the permit but said because they had to pay for a permit the sheet rock repair would not be paid for
My main issue is the lack of professionalism with their office staffMy bill was incorrect multiple times and I had to keep calling back to get it correctedBill, my main contact would promise one thing and the office staff would never come through
They threatened to send the bill to collections without ever fixing the mistakes on the billThere is a huge miscommunication within their staff and I would be very careful about hiring them

The complaint won't be resolved until I get my warranty certificate which I have not received, thank you.

Please see attached letter. To Whom It May Concern:This letter is in response to the complaint filed by Ms. [redacted]. It states on the terms and conditions of Boyar's contract that patching and painting may be required and is the responsibility of the client. However, Boyar’s would be willing to...

credit Ms. [redacted] for the drywall repairs to satisfy the customer. Boyar's has attempted to contact the client by phone on both 11/23 & 11/30/15, with no response to date. Boyar's is anxious to bring this matter to a close, and we look forward to speaking with Ms. [redacted].Sincerely,[redacted]

Hi [redacted].[redacted] from Boyars sent me a receipt this morning showing that they have run a credit to my [redacted] account for $400. Therefore, I consider this matter resolved. Thank you so much for all of your help. Without you and the Revdex.com I never would have been able to get them to talk to me much less credit me for the work not completed.thanks[redacted]

Boyar's is in communication with clientWe have presented a solution to client and
waiting for new materials to arrive so we can schedule

We accept that the complaint has been resolved (not to our satisfaction, we had to go get the wine rack and have in installed by another party but they did pay for the damaged Waterford): The account as reported by Boyar is incorrect.  The complaint was filed prior to the resolution.  The sales person was aware it was to hold Waterford Crystal and the wine rack was made to hold 40 to 60 stemware and was attached to the cabinet with 12 finish nails.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action. The owner of Boyars has finally come out to my house to look at the project.  He was disgusted with how my kitchen looked!  I'm waiting on a date when this job will be finished properly.  So let's wait until I get the job done and completed with 100% satisfaction by me.Regards,

The wine rack the [redacted]’s had installed was built for wine glass stemware made of blown glass. The stemware the [redacted]’s placed in the wine rack was Waterford crystal which is leaded crystal and is heavy. Due to the stemware being about three times as heavy as normal stemware, the...

wine rack fell onto the countertop after about six months due to the weight, and most of the stemware was broken.
Notwithstanding, without any question Boyar’s agreed to replace the wine rack and the stemware. Boyar's took the wine rack back to its facility and had the wine rack strengthen to accommodate the additional weight of leaded crystal. This was done at no charge to the [redacted]s. Boyar’s also agreed to pay to replace the crystal which was broken. The [redacted]’s leaded crystal patten is several years old and had been discontinued by Waterford. Boyar’s looked for a similar pattern currently produced by the manufacturer. The [redacted]s did find someone selling their pattern online and Boyar’s gave the [redacted]’s a check for the cost of buying this crystal to replace the crystal which had been broken.
The [redacted]s had picked up from Boyar’s their strengthen wine rack and also picked up the check to pay for the replacement crystal the same day that Boyar's received this Revdex.com complaint. Boyar's believes the issue had already been addressed and resolved by the time the complaint was filed.

I have attempted to return the calls from Melanie, but with no success. This is how it has been each time I have tried to call their office ever since I made the final payment. Each time I have called I am told she is not in the office. The contract does NOT state that drywall repair and painting will be required, as Melanie states in her letter. I made the final payment after [redacted] ensured me the drywall would be repaired. However, then when they could not get their drywall person to do the work for less than a minimum amount, ** told me it could not be done and I was responsible for the repairs and at the most they would refund me $100 since that is what it would cost them This statement contradicts what ** previously told me about why their drywall repair person could not do it (because he charges a minimum amount). I cannot even get the HOA contractor/maintenance company who does this type of work for our complex or any other licensed and insured handyman to come out and give a written estimate for $100. They know that is may cost them $100, but that it will cost me much more just as how it cost me $3200 for the re-surfacing of the cabinets but cost them much less than that. The maintenance company our HOA uses has told me it will cost about $400 to repair the drywall based on the work they have previously done in my unit (in Nov 2014.) Therefore, I asked for $400 to be refunded to me OR for them to contract directly with the maintenance company used by our HOA to have the repairs done. Before I made that final payment ** assured me it would not be weeks or months before the drywall was repaired. Over a month has gone by and I still have 4 holes in my drywall. The response from Boyars does not give any resolution. It just says they would like to talk to me, however, no one is ever available.Below is the e-mail from [redacted] rearding the repairs:---------- Forwarded message ----------From: [redacted] <[redacted]>Date: Fri, Nov 13, 2015 at 2:20 PMSubject: RE: Drywall repairTo: "[redacted] ." <[redacted]>Cc: [redacted] <[redacted]>Hello Mrs. [redacted],I do apologize for the miscommunication, I did just try and call and was not able to leave a message. I take complete fault in not following up with our service for you but our drywall repair man has not been returning my calls or emails and is not someone we use very often. We reached out to him as a courtesy to your project and unfortunately did not pull through. I have talked to my manager and the most that we could credit back is $100 because that is what the drywall repair man has quoted us. If you have already scheduled a drywall repair please let us know so that we can credit you back $100.I sincerely apologize for my lack of response and how that we can find a resolution to this.Thank you,[redacted]Boyar's Kitchen Cabinets[redacted] F [redacted]

I have been calling the company for months and no one ever told me that they were out of 'warranty paper.'  The excuse I got was 'we are late on sending warranties.'  Knowing that I had been constantly calling to ask, this issue was never elevated to anyone beyond those answering the phone calls which is still 'poor customer service.'  Had someone from Boyar's just called and let me know that they had run out of paper and an approximate "date" of when I should expect to receive the warranty, that would have been sufficient.  Instead the company just chose to 'ignore' my questions.  Unfortunately, I have a hard time believing that the reason I have not received the warranty is that they ran out of 'paper.'Please let me know if there is anything else I need to do to close this out on your end.  I do appreciate the assistance of the Revdex.com as sometimes this is the only way to get company's to respond.
