billed for an estimate for electrical work at my residence, unauthorized charges. Re: Invoice #[redacted], Asiil Enterprises, transaction date Sept 30, 2013 Asiil sent a worker to estimate electrical work on my condo in [redacted] SK, they provided the estimate to me a few days later. I considered the estimate too high and decided not to proceed. Later I was billed $105 for the estimate. I contacted [redacted] at Asiil to complain as there had been no mention of a fee for an estimate, and that I had not authorized any work other than an estimate. [redacted] I believed through our phone conversation that the matter was resolved and charges dropped but I later (Dec 31, 2013) received another statement with a balance due of $105 for the same estimate. Desired SettlementI would like Asiil to rescind the charges as no work was authorized, no fees for an estimate were indicated or discussed at any time. I would also like a written confirmation that there are no charges due.Business Response When [redacted] came into the office he indicated that he was doing a renovation in his condo in [redacted]. He said that he had taken down the range hood and wanted to install a microwave/range hood. I told him that the only way that this would be possible is if the existing range hood was on a separate circuit and that the only way to determine this would be to test the circuit. At this point he asked if I could send someone to ascertain this and if it was not on a separate circuit to provide him with a quote on this. I then sent out a service tech that did the testing for this only to find out that it was not a separate circuit. At which point I made a quote up for [redacted] to perform the work necessary to achieve his desired end result. I charged [redacted] the $105.00 dollars as a call out for my service tech that did the testing for him in order let him know if he could legally install a microwave/ range hood in his condo as per our Canadian Electrical Code. I did not hear back from [redacted] until I had sent him a bill and he called to express his displeasure at being charged for a "Quote" even though there was more to it than that. I tried to explain to him that he was not getting charged for the quote but for the work to determine if a quote would be required to achieve the end product that he originally desired. After our phone conversation I contacted our billing department and got them to rescind [redacted]'s Bill. However due to the time of month the Statements had already been sent out. As I never heard back from him I assumed that the matter was resolved. If you have any question or require any other information please let me know. My understanding from this is that Asiil has rescinded the charges, although the billing had not at that time reflected that decision. If this is correct then I am satisfied with the outcome.
