I'm not sure why the amounts keep changingWe've made several attempts to pick up the pump and every time someone goes *** changes the price he wants us to payWe never had a problem paying the initial estimate price of $50-$but every time we send someone he has refused to cooperateThe pump looks more damaged and the price and threats increasesWe did speak to other customers who have had similar problems with *** losing parts and holding equipment hostageWe would like to avoid receiving an incomplete pump and NEED them to return it in the same condition it was inWe were never informed that he would be returning an incomplete pumpWe have NEVER had someone return a disassembled piece of equipment when taken in for an estimateAt this time the pump has been left disassembled and as mentioned before was told by Seeto it would be trashed so there is no way of us knowing if the pump even has all the partsWe are aware the pump had a problem but we can NOT accept an incomplete pumpJust as his initial estimate price that keeps increasing he is now increasing the price to pick up the pumpThis is extortion and we refuse to pay for work that was never authorized or even completeThe initial estimate was the only thing authorized and it didn't even exceed $The fact that he now wants $is just another example of his unethical work practicesAt this time we will be back charging the loss of time and production our company has suffered due to *** and ASP Diesel Injection approach and holding our equipmentAgain we require the pump be returned in the same condition it was taken inOtherwise we will be forced to notified the authorities and proceed as necessary

I have done only what I was requested to perform. And that was to calculate an estimate on a diesel fuel pump. This service on this particular type of pump is $100. As in any business, customers must pay for services rendered. If a customer does not pay for said services, their items are held until a payment is made. I am asking only for payment of my services which is $100. In another message I tried to offer solutions to their demands, but as these would incur more labor I would expect to be paid for my time. Also as mentioned previously, it is my practice as well as most other shops in the diesel injection industry, to return estimated pumps disassembled when customers do not want them repaired. This way customers can inspect the parts of the pump. Since they keep on arguing that I will not return all their parts of their pump, then I highly recommend that they receive the pump disassembled. I will make an inventory list of all the parts, which I will require that someone from their company with authority sign the list when they take back possession of the pump. This is to protect me from any future false allegations. I have no need for or desire to retain any parts from the pump. If they take possession of an assembled pump, they will have the opportunity to make false allegations of missing  internal parts. I am not saying that the will make false allegations for sure, but I am not going to allow for the opportunity to do so. They can then inspect all the parts or have any other shop inspect or repair their pump. I want to also address the comments that they have made about having contacted other customers with similar problems. This can be a very slanderous statement if proof of these customers are not produced. I find it vary hard to believe that anyone has said any statements as they claim, as I have never had any issue even remotely similar to this in all my years of doing business. I really wish to resolve the complaint quickly, so that I may continue running my business.

Complaint activity report Case # [redacted] C
From: ASP Diesel Injection Services, Inc.
In May 2016 a driver from J's Pipeline Inc. brought a fuel injection pump to be checked. Later that day my Technician looked at the pump and noticed that the drive shaft was cracked....

I did call the office and told them the shaft was cracked and in order to replace the shaft, the pump needed to be turned down (I am sure they knew the shaft was cracked and that is the reason they brought the pump to the shop). I spoke to a male who answered the phone (I forgot his name) and he told me "go ahead turn down the pump and give an estimate."
In my business I do not open or turn down a pump without the customer's approval. Since I got the customers phone approval, I went ahead & turned down the pump. I called him the next day and I gave him the estimate and he responded not to bother fixing it, it was too expensive. Few minutes later, a female called very angrily and told me why I did turn down the pump. She said to put the pump together and send it back. I told her that in the fuel injection business, once the pump is turned down, if the costumer does not want to fix it, it is send back in parts and the customer is still responsible to pay for the labor of turning the pump down to give the estimate. I explained to her that she needed to send her driver to pick up the turned down pump in parts and paid for the labor. She refused to pay for my labor and I explained to her that I will not release the pump unless she covered the labor.
