The purchaser, [redacted] , did withdraw his offer to purchaseA refund of his good faith deposit was mailed to him at the address as his home address on the purchase contractHis Buyer's Agent contacted the office and wanted to pick up a check representing his refundWe told him that we could not do this since the check needed to be returned to the person that issued it and that it had been mailedWe heard nothing until a few weeks later when the Buyer's Agent contacted our office and stated that the check was never receivedAfter confirming that the check in fact had not been cashed, we advised that the buyer could pick up a replacement checkThe Buyer's Agent presented a notarized statement from [redacted] stating that it was his wish that the Buyer's Agent pick up the replacement check on his behalfBecause proper documentation was presented, the replacement check was given to the agentThank you, Susan MReal Estate Broker/President
