The documentation states "As Is". My contention, though, is that the car should never have been sold by a dealership and was not even in a safe standing when they sold it. If they had this car in their shop, then they would have seen all of the damage/wear to the car and should not have been able to sell it. If they did not put the car in their shop and just sold it, they are just as negligent for not taking responsibility for selling safe vehicles.I get the "As Is" part, but did not take this to be buying a car with so many unsafe conditions. It's just plain shady and predetory, in my view.***

Aloha,
We are sincerely sorry that Ms.*** is having concerns with her repairs done on July 27th, Upon returning back almost a month later on August 20, 2015, we agree to inspect her vehicle at no charge to address her concerns mentionedIt is our policy and a state requirement that the customer must authorize and allow us to work on their car- please see the attached first repair whereby she did sign and give us authorizationOn the August 20th repair she refused to sign, thus explaining to her that we would not be able to inspect her car without written approvalEven explaining to Ms *** that it was not going to cost her anything we still need the same authorization to work on her car like she gave us a month earlier and without that signature we would not be able to work on her carShe refused thus not allowing us to address her concerns and we did not inspect her vehicle
We are still willing to offer her the same free inspection with her written authorization

Aloha, We are sorry to hear of the customer having an issue with the suspension so soon after the purchase. The attached document shows that we did properly disclose to the customer that the vehicle has suspension problems and in consideration for a higher
trade in, which they agreed and understood by signing off on it on the second page of the attached document, accepted to continue the purchase of the vehicle. The customer further understood that this vehicle was being sold to them "AS IS" which they acknowledged as well, knowing that they must cover all repairs once they buy the vehicle

No, the dealership did not do the repairAfter leaving Lex Brodies, I immediately brought the vehicle back to the dealershipThey said they would only pay 50% of the ball joint repair, but I did not have the rest of the money to pay for the other halfThe sales manager insisted that the vehicle was perfectly safe, so I said I would have to come back when I had the other half of the cost of the repairAfter I left the dealership is when the wheel fell offThe dealership would not fix the ball joints after the wheel fell off because they said it would show dealership responsibility and they did not want the repair on their recordSo, no the dealership did not do the repair

My name is Chuck F*I am the General Manager for Hilo & Kona Mazda Subaru and HyundaiI am responding the complaint made by *** ***I am confused by Mr***’s accusations towards usYes, He did by a *** *** *** from us that experienced a water pump issue, after he
purchased itContrary to how he is making this sound, it was through the research and help of his Salesperson Jonathin, that we were able to get his Water Pump Covered under warranty with the *** DealerWhen Mr*** came to see me for a Car in regards to this Repair, I had a vehicle driven over from Hilo for his convenience to be picked up on the Thursday MorningThis was coordinated in My OfficeHe neither showed nor called me on Thursday, and I had the car here waiting for him for several days, before finally finding out from him that he had gotten his *** Back, so I drove that vehicle back to Hilo, days laterIt was also then, that he informed me that he still wanted to swap out of his ***I was very specific that we could look at trading him out of the carHe made an appointment with his Salesperson, and from what I understand, they could not find something that he like or that would work for him, budget-range wiseThe comment of needing $down is common in informing the customer that a monetary commitment like that can help elviate a possible negative equity positionI understand that Mr*** may not understand this, but it should not be conveyed as a negative on our partAs far as a $radiator cap, that again is news to meI would be happy to correct any inappropriate action, if I found that to be the case

On March 27th, Mr*** made an appointment to check on his Battery, since it was not charging. His appointment was for April 5th. On April 3rd, he called in to Stacey, to cancel his appointment, because “everything was fine” Mr*** then called again(after the 5th)
to now make another appointment in Hilo. The Vehicle again had problems with the Battery. At this time, the first appointment available was several weeks out, into May. Mr*** was apparently not too happy with that and made an appointment with Kona Mr***’s vehicle was determined to need the secondary Battery replaced. This is not the Hybrid Battery that comes with the Lifetime replacement. It was the other Battery, a regular, but special Battery in and of itself. Sherry Iona and staff replaced his Battery yesterday after an upset Mr*** called Hyundai Customer Service to verify that the battery that needed to be replaced was not part of the lifetime Battery. Mr*** acknowledged this with Sherry and authorized her to replace it. The Battery Cost $409.72. Mr*** then went to Parts and requested his original Battery back, hence the $Core Charge, which was all explained to him The really odd part of all this is the “Reluctant Rental”. There was never a Rental, and the car was in and out on the same day. Mr *** was very aware of the fact that his battery was not covered under the warranty and was told so before he authorized the repair. We do not understand why he is asking to be refunded.Mahalo,

Aloha,    We are sorry that the vehicle has experienced mechanical issues,  the vehicle was represented to Mr. [redacted] as being sold "as is" meaning that there is no warranty and he will need to pay for all repairs.  Attached is a copy showing his signature that he understood...

the condition of the vehicle and accepted delivery.  As already mentioned to his father, we are sorry but there will be no refund offered back to Mr. [redacted] since he was aware of the condition of this older car.Mahalo,

To the Revdex.com,   My name is Chuck F[redacted].  I am the General Manager for Big Island Motors.  I have been dealing with Ms. [redacted]’s situation, so I would like to respond, first by stating that her statements are far from accurate.  Ms. [redacted]s bought the vehicle...

in question “As Is”.  You will find the supporting Documentation attached.  When she was in the car buying process, she was informed by her Salesperson(Jonathan N[redacted]) that the car would probably need some suspension work, probably sooner than later.  She then stated to her Salesperson “I got a guy for that”.  The car was regularly Priced at $7995.00, and was on Sale, on our Website for $5900.00.  She(Ms. [redacted]s), then negotiated the price further down to $4700.00 plus fees(see attached Circled “3”).   She then filed a DCCA Complaint.  In those correspondences, I again produced all of the Attached Documents that showed an “As Is” Purchase.  The DCCA found in our favor, stating that we violated no Laws.    Now we see in her complaint that she wants other issues addressed.  Ms. [redacted]s was very aware if what she purchased and we are fully prepared to defend ourselves from her false accusations.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:From: [redacted] [mailto:[redacted]] Sent: Friday, September 11, 2015 10:55 AMTo: [redacted]Subject: Re: You have a New Message from Revdex.com of Hawaii Regarding Complaint #[redacted]ar...

[redacted],Thank you so much for your assistance.Like I said, I have called the [redacted] headquarters in Honolulu THREE TIMES and have had NO reply. The [redacted]son I did not sign the waiver is because my attorney advised me not to. The people at [redacted] did not say they would fix the b[redacted]ks or put back the pan un**r the car, which they forgot to screw back on after doing the oil change! They only said that they would "look at the car."The other negligence on their part was that they said nothing about the engine light. I paid to have it looked at the following day and it turns out that two sensors need to be replaced.I am willing to sign the waiver IF they agree to the following:1) Properly replace the pan beneath the hood.2) Replace both front b[redacted]ks.3) Replace the two sensors.4) I would also like an apology for the **spicable way I was t[redacted]ted by Wayne, the manager in Kona!THIS IS NOT A LOT TO ASK.Thank you kindly,[redacted]

Sorry the coupon specifically states that it must be presented at time of purchase and the customers statement of her finding the coupon 15 hours later disqualifies its re**mption.

I paid lots of money for this book of coupons, when I bought a brand new [redacted], in 2006.It was about 15 hours after I signed the agreement of sales (for a $19,600 [redacted] truck!!!) that I found the coupon and I called Walter, the salesman, immediately. He asked me if there was an expiration date on the coupon and I said no. He then told me to scan the coupon and send it to him, which I did within the hour.He told me that he would show it to the manager and "get back to me."Days went by and no one got back to me so I called again. I was told to leave a message and that the manager would call me back.Another several days passed and no one called!I called for the third time and was told the same thing. At my attorney's request, I contacted the [redacted] headquarters in New Jersey and was told to contact the dealership in Honolulu. I have called there now three times and have not hard back from anyone. * Two very good friends of mine were wanting to purchase [redacted] cars and now that they have heard how I've been treated, they have decided not to.If it comes to this, I will write an article for the [redacted] newspaper, explaining how despicably I have been treated. This kind of "customer service" is quite shocking and appalling, to say the least. Mahalo for your help,[redacted]
