That's why on the 26th of October I called to cancel. No contact clearly demonstrated to me a lack of service and voided the sale. My deposit check was cashed on October 7th check # 798. No time or materials were used as there was no contact nor measurements . The response from Aspen is an out right fabricationAlso Aspen hasn't left me any messages. The response from Aspen clearly has reassured me that cancelling was right as service was non existent and certainly the fabricating statement of time and materials. I'll post an update if I decide to change my mind Otherwise, I'll post an update in 7-weeks after the windows have been installed

Hello *** ***,We are terribly sorry to hear about how cold your home is through the winter. We have been to inspect your project and even MrA*** was at your home with you. When MrA*** was there, he used a Thermal Heat Gun to test the temperature on the inside of the window
The Aspen window was warmer than the other old windows and even warmer than your wallsIt was cold outside when this test was performed. We only replaced one window in your home, all of the rest are old and inefficientIn the same room that you have the one new window, you have multiple old windowsYour new window is fully insulated and it is under a lifetime warrantyThe problem you are having is all the other old windows in the room and the house, they are letting cold air in. We showed you this while we were there and while MrA*** was there. This year you have also filed a complaint with the PA Attorney Generals Office against AspenAfter they did their research and inspected they told you the same thing we have been telling you. Aspen's window is installed correctly and is fully insulatedThere is not a problem with Aspen's windowIt is all the other windows in your home that are +years old and inefficient that is your problemThe old windows allow cold air to flow through your house. To remedy this situation, MrA*** is quite prepared to come back out and show you this yet again, but we require your entire family be there so we can explain this to them also. You claim we don't stand by our warranty, but we have been out to visit with you multiple times and the owner, MrA*** even showed you how the window from Aspen is functioning properly. Thanks,Aspen Home ImprovementsTell us why here

From the beginning there have been issues The salesman wrote up an order for doors and hardware Apparently the hardware he allowed me to choose and wrote on the contract was not available for all of the doors I orderedI never got a call instead they substituted something completely different and then installed the doors with two different styles all keyed the same and left me keys for the entry doors The screen door has two removable glasses and was supposed to come with screens, the installers only gave me one I had to contact the company to request the 2nd screen and to report that not only was the hardware not what I expected but that it also didn't match even though my contract has the same style listed for each door During the call it was explained to me that the style on my contract was nit available for every door I questioned why no one contacted me and told the rep I was nit happy with the mix and match hardwareAfter several weeks...more than it took to get the doors, I got a call to install the new knobs The first call came and when I didn't answer they left a voicemail I didn't return the call immediately but got a call back on a Friday asking if they ciukd schedule the install for that next week...the date didn't work for me and the rep told me she would call back early that next week with other dates Fast forward almost weeks...I schedule the install of the replacement hardware The installer replaces the front entry door without issue but when he goes to the 2nd door he notices the new hardware is damaged so he doesn't install For whatever reason he doesn't do the screen door but I'm not worried because someone will have to come back with the new hardware and the screen-- still no sign of it at this point This installer gives me new keys to the *** he just installed but I also have to keep the old key to the other door since that Hardware was damaged and must be returned to the manufacturerFast forward a few weeks again comma the third installer comes to my homeHe brings me the second screen finallyHe changes the hardware on the second entry door and the screen door, now all of the hardware matches on all of the doorsHe leaves me with more keys accept they are not keyed to match the front door like it was done during the original install, like I requested from the very beginningI called the office to let them know that I was upset about how many times they had to come to my home and how much time I had to take off work in an effort to get this right and that it was still not rightI requested to speak to a supervisor of sorts because I felt at this point it needed to be elevatedI was put in the voicemail of the CFO, I left him a message on a Friday afternoon asking for a return call and a plan to remedy this last blunder once and for allIn two days it will be weeks since I left that message and I haven't received a call back from him or the customer service reps with whom I left my original request to have the locks keyed the sameThe installers who came to my house each time we're very courteous and professionalI would open my door for anyone of them again however I believe the behind the scenes staff and those in charge of quality assurance are lacking professionalism and attention to detailI love my doors now that they're in, I hate that I have so many keys to useBecause of the amount of time I've spent basically arguing to get what I wanted (and what they wrote on paper) and the added time I took off to open my home to them, I would not recommend this companyAs a matter of fact I have already shared with two friends who were waiting to find out how my experience wasThese doors and the installation were not cheapI financed this purchase and have been paying on it faithfullyI think it's ridiculous that I have paid so much for a product that after almost months is still not what I asked for or what they promised Since their management has not seen fit to return the call of an unhappy customer I have no idea if they plan to attempt to make me happyI guess I'll have to call them, againBuyer beware

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and while I do not believe AT ALL that the windows were ordered at the time I attempted to cancel the contract, I do believe they have probably been ordered subsequently. As a result, I will allow the measurements to be taken and will pay for the balance of the windows. However, I want to make it clear that this situation was in no way resolved to my satisfaction, and I believe this company is filled from top to bottom (starting with the CEO) with LIARS and unethical individuals.

At the time of sale we offered the PHFA route and took a credit application for [redacted], which she signed
Our office put though the [redacted] application as a back up, this was turned down, but was accepted by another vendor
Our other vendor offered us interest free options which we relayed to the customer
Our aim was to give the customer finance options for her to choose fromI feel there was a communication problem with the salesman and her, who has since apologized directly
We did all communications with the customer the last weeks in February 2014

I had a representative from Aspen Home Improvements come to our home and give us an estimate on our windows. We found that T** was very knowledgeable and friendly and not pushy at all. We decided to move forward with the project with them and we are still awaiting the installation. I will update how our total expierence with Aspen is at completion. So far A++++

My wife and I meet with Jim from Aspen Home Improvements this evening. I was looking for a quote to replace all the exterior doors and windows in my house. Our sales rep, Jim, rang the door bell precisely at the scheduled appointment time - which was a very good first impression.
He reviewed all the windows and doors needed and then sat and explained how Aspen does things and reviewed thoroughly Ukna products and the construction compared to "others". Being a former competitor window employee, I had never heard of Okna and I was very impressed with the frame construction and glass technology. Especially interesting was the BTU meter and heat lamp demonstration Jim showed us. I was a little skeptical of this at first, but as Jim demonstrated the various BTU ratings for each type of glass, the demo made more & more sense. I was particularly impressed with the heat comparison between the Low E, double pane glass showing a rating of 55 BTU's compared to Okna's Heat Seal double pane glass showing 0 BTU's. I didn't believe it until Jim asked me to put my hand in front of the glass with the heat lamp turned on behind it. I couldn't feel any heat passing through the glass but felt plenty passing through the Low E comparison. That basically had me sold on these windows until I received the quote. It was about 20% higher than other quotes I have received. Jim asked what he needed to do to get my business and sign a contract right there. I have had other sales experiences like this, so I wasn't really surprised. However, I can see how this could make someone feel "pressured", but Jim was just trying to do his job, just like any other good salesperson would do.
After some negotiating and removing the doors from the quote, my wife and I agreed to sign a contract to have all the windows replaced.
We didn't feel any pressure to sign the contract and both felt these were the best windows available for the price quoted. Jim gave us the typical 3-day Notice of Cancellation agreement, so that gives us a few days to think this significant purchase over and change our mind if we feel this isn't the best window for the price. I obviously plan to do some research about these Okna windows, as well as Aspen Home Improvements
I'll post an update if I decide to change my mind. Otherwise, I'll post an update in 7-8 weeks after the windows have been installed.

Review: The salesman assured us that by filling out the application and writing PHFA our credit scores would not be run for traditional loans.

The salesman assured us that our credit information would not be pulled to traditionally fund our big window project. We are looking into 12 new windows in our home, and cannot complete the project traditionally. The salesman told us of a program through the state to aid in financing the windows at a very low interest rate and no credit score pulling. We agreed that we would be interested in that program only. The salesman assured us that we would only be considered for that program, and wrote "phfa" on the application so that everyone who touched our application knew that we only wanted that program. We were assured that our credit would not be run. We are now receiving numerous letters from numerous different companies "we regret to inform you that your loan application cannot be approved at this time..." The company ran our credit for traditional loans after assuring us it would not do that.Desired Settlement: We were assured that our credit would not be run. We are now receiving numerous letters from numerous different companies. I am seeking retribution from this company. I am also interested in posting that this company is unethical, immoral, pretentious, and sly.
