To whom it may concern: [redacted] brought his vehicle to my shop on 1/16/17.And he asked to make an appointment for next day for maintenance service(see attached receipt)But when he dropped off his car the next day he mentioned that the check engine light is on and battery is not 100% as he wrote in his own complaintAfter diagnostics, I called him and explained check engine light is on for CODE P(see attached receipt) and Battery is not good enough and it needs to be replacedBut he denied battery service at that time and agreed with other servicesSo after repairing other things, I parked his car outside and called him for pickupBut I told him again that battery is not good but he refused the battery service again and he told me that he can take care of battery himselfBut after, he came and car did not start because of battery issue, which he knew alreadyHe started blaming my Machanics and used inappropriate language, byt my mechanic still served him with respect and changed him for a new battery with years warrantyAnd I have all receipts for parts and service. Thanks ASPEN SHELL [redacted] **Rockville MD ***

To Whom It May Concern:With all due respect, There is no way after manipulating some knobs from dashboard a mechanic can turn on a check engine lightAnd yes I did charge you $which you agreed to, but that price does not include the battery issue problem because you denied to replace the battery at that timeAnd your car didn't start because of bad battery which you already knew and you have mentioned that in your previous statement and this statementAnd your car is years old and had 91,miles, when you brought it for serviceAnd I do have the receipts for parts and service for everything else that we did on your car and a battery result, which I took from your batteryAnd if your transmission fluid was low and console light was not fixed why didn't you come back to me to check your complaintAnd as far as the other mechanics are concerned they cannot speak for me as I cannot speak for them. Thanks,Aspen Shell [redacted] **Rockville MD ***

To whom it may concern,
On Monday January 16th, I walked into the shell gas station in Aspen Hill MD, *** *** *** **, Rockville, MD *** and spoke with the shop Manager/Store Owner regarding a few mechanical works that I wanted to do on my carI explained to him that since I bought the car brand new, I have done the routine maintenance of oil changes, brake jobs and tiresAlso, this is the first time I'm taking my car for mechanical work and proper maintenance that is needed for my carSo, I told him that I'm trusting him with these preventative maintenance work
I asked him to do the following; Transmission fluid change, brake fluid change, oil change (use synthetic oil), fuel filter, exchange wiper blades, and replace two interior light bulbs (glove compartment and one ceiling bulb)I also asked him to do an overall checkup of the suspension, brake, and engine systems to ensure that everything is okMeanwhile, I mentioned that my battery is not 100% but I have no problem

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]
I totally reject the response. It does not address the problems and it is inaccurate with a bunch of lies. The following issues and questions remained unanswered. Why did he turn the Check-engine light on the day we test drove the car by manipulating the dashboard consoles knobs/buttons? Was it because of mechanical reasons? And if so, why didn’t he tell me that my check engine light would come on in a few hours and tell me not to worry about it? Or was it because he wanted to charge me the following day for engine air sensor and other engine problems? Why would he call me and tell me that my car was ready to be picked up and the charge was $744, then my car wouldn’t even start? Which was the first time ever that my car wouldn’t start. Why was my battery drained or changed with a dead battery? Was it because he thought I had problems starting the car so he can make me buy a new battery from him thinking and assuming I had problems even starting the car, As I told him that the battery was a little weak with the battery being 80% or 90% of its capacity? It would start in the coldest weather in the months prior to that day. But when I went to pick my car up, it didn’t start, for the first time ever. Why would he refuse to return the battery to me 2 days later? It was recommended by my credit card company to pick it up and take it to another mechanic for a second opinion and that would strengthen my case. After that, I know, The regional manager of Shell knows, and my second mechanic knows, that these batteries, tires, parts…are kept is a storage room for proper disposal and pick up every couple of weeks or a month? Why was my transmission fluid 2-3 quarts short of the normal level? I had to pay another mechanic to fix that. Please note that I paid for the transmission fluid change with this mechanic, and then I had to pay again with another mechanic that actually fixed my problem. Why?Why was my glove compartment light not fixed but I was charged for it?Yes I was furious about this whole situation as far as this mechanic sabotaging my car, overcharging me and not doing the proper work on my car. I never used bad language because it is not in my nature, nor is it in my vocabulary. Therefore shame, shame, shame on you Mr. mechanicDo you have the invoices for the repairs/parts that you claim you did on my car? Such as engine air sensor…?This concludes my nightmarish experience with this mechanic shop and I want a full refund and request invocation on his mechanic license. Please refer to the attachments which includes the original letter, mechanical receipts along with the dates and times of the events.
Regards,

Review: On November 1, 2014, I went inside the gas station and purchased $30.00 worth of gas and a pack of cigarettes bringing my total to $37.37 with my debit card. My car would only take $26.57, I went back inside and told Asad the cashier he printed out a receipt showing they would only charge my debit card $33.94 and the difference would be applied back to my account . Ok fine. As of November 8, 2014 1 week later, I have not been reimbursed. I know it's a small amount of money, but if they do that to 10 customers think of the money. I called the gas station and spoke to Asad he told me and I quote "honey, we have a lot of money and we don't need your money, of fine, put it back. Please advise accordingly.[redacted]Desired Settlement: Monetary $3.73

Dec. 04, 2014Debit & credits on a card are handled by the card-issuing bank/agency. Customer should check with his bank and review his monthly statements. Let him bring his bank card (the debit card used) statement and we would explain. Some banks list in a matter of days. Others take a billing cycle. At Revdex.com you should also know this.He/she did not pay cash & gets NO cash back. A refund receipt was given to her.

Review: (7/17/13) I had my car (Buick Century 2001) go in for an MD inspection on a recently purchased auto. The service station (Aspen Hill Shell) advised me on the items to be fixed to bring it back to be re-inspected. It took about 1.5 wks to get them done by a mechanic of my choosing and then promptly brought the car back for reinspection. When we dropped off the car, the clerk asked us to estimate the mileage, so we told them an estimate of 125k. When we went back today(7/25/13) to get it reinspected to pass, the Mgr([redacted]) said the car had been driven over 1k miles, so he would need to have it re-inspected for another inspection fee of $75, instead of the the $10-20 he claimed they needed to charge to reinspect? So, we have since taken the car from there and now need to go to another inspection station since I feel they have taken advantage of the contract/service they promised. I called them today(7/25) to ask them to reconsider because we weren't told the miles since last inspection had to be at a certain level. We wouldve given him the actual mileage had we known that its was so important to get the re-inspection. Furthermore, the actual inspector should be taking down the actual mileage during the inspection, and didn't.Desired Settlement: Full refund of the $79, and have a formal complaint listed with the Revdex.com for others that may be taken advantage of to make the service station correct their unfair, deceptive practices for other consumers in the future

[redacted],

Please permit me to ask you a question first. Did you see the documentation provided to [redacted] regarding inspection performed on the said car, fees charged and reasons for failure to do re-inspection? I do not think you did.

First: On the work order it says ‘MILAGE’ and does not ask for estimate. However, if you do not know it you can leave it blank. While doing the inspection inspector is duty bound to write the actual miles (odometer) reading on his inspection report. In this case, though [redacted] wrote it 125K on work order the actual mileage was 130409 and is written on the inspection report (copy enclosed). On completion of inspection a copy (yellow) was handed over to the owner / agent.

Second: Limits for re-inspection are specified at the bottom of the report (within 30 days and within 1000 miles). These are regulation imposed by law and enforced by MD Police department. A police trooper supervises the inspectors work and not the station. The later provides inspection facility only and charges a fee as authorized by the State Police. If [redacted] has any complain he / she should contact State Police at [redacted].

One can obtain all information about this procedure from MVA. Mileage on July 25, 2013, when the car was brought for re-inspection, was 131,737.

Third: [redacted] is telling you a lie that payment she made was $79.00. I enclose here with a copy of the work order #[redacted]. This shows the amount she paid for inspection, which was $69.95 plus fees giving a total of $74.07. She paid $74.04; a copy of her credit card receipt is also enclosed.

Lastly, I do not think she is entitled for any refund.
