Asphalt Care Company

Dear [redacted]:

This letter is a follow-up to the multiple emails and phone messages I have left with your firm regarding the reimbursement for my deposit of $270.

I signed an agreement on 4/27/15 and forwarded a deposit of $270. I made a decision not to complete the work and sent an email on 8/7/15 advising same. I left two voicemails and sent an additional email on 8/29/15 followed by two additional voicemails regarding the return of my deposit. I have not received a returned email, a returned phone call or my deposit to date. Your paperwork does not indicate that the deposit is non-refundable.. Also, a certified letter was returned unclaimed.

I would appreciate my deposit being returned.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at [redacted].Desired Settlement: Would like my deposit returned

Review: Asphalt Care Company was issued a service order in September 2014 to replace, repair and install top Asphalt at my Customer's secure facility in New Jersey. They were paid in full for the service but only completed 85% of the work. They did not complete patches which were not sealed as required. There have many attempts to reach Asphalt Care Company via telephone and email. All telephone messages and emails have been unanswered.Desired Settlement: The desired outcome would be for Asphalt Care Company to finish the job they were paid to do. If they are unable to do that, we would like a refund for 15% of the work that was not completed in the amount of $ 2,767.50.

Review: Asphalt Care company was hired, and a contract was signed, for the business to pave, seal, and repaint the lines of a parking lot at [redacted] The full amount of $9,095.00 was paid. The asphalt care company did the paving and sealing work but did not repaint any of the lines including handicap parking lines. The contract clearly and specifically state s that the Asphalt Care Company is to paint the lines symbols and handicap spots. In July and August of this year Asphalt Care company agreed that they had not fully completed the job and still needed to paint the lines. On multiple occasions they told me they would go back to the parking lot and paint the lines as agreed upon in the contract. This still has not been done and they are no longer answering my calls or voice messages.Desired Settlement: Finish the job would be the first desired outcome but if that is not possible then a refund for the agreed upon price for which Ashalt Care Company was supposed to paint the lines. The value of the painting is $400.00

Response:

We are writing in response to your letter dated November 4, 2013 concerning a complaint concerning a job we did.

In response, we line striped this location in November of 2012. In the spring of 2013 we were hired back to do some paving, seal coating and line striping of the parking lot. Everything was completed for what we were hired to do. We received a phone call from the customer telling us that the area out back that we did in November of 2012 was coming off. This had nothing to do with the area we did this year. We explained to them that this may keep happening because they have a very high traffic area in the back from a landscaping company that uses their parking lot. We did tell them we would come back and touch up at no additional charge. This is still on our books to get done this year.

If you should need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact our office as soon as possible.

Review: This paving company did work at a Church project that we did at [redacted] in Mount Holly. We have called since notice of the failure in November 2013. We paid for the work as per their invoices. Their work failed the county inspections. The county is calling our off to have the work corrected. We have been calling, emailing, and faxing requests to correct the work and do the project to meet State and Local Standards. The company has not responded.Desired Settlement: We simply want them to repair the work so it can pass inspection and the church can continue it's services. It's over 8 months now that they are dodging our calls.
