Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
I tried very calmly to reason with both the manager and owner, but it fell upon deaf earsThe manager rudely stated to me that "people like you need to be held accountable for their mistakes." I told him that was very rude and he continued to verbally berate meWhen the police arrived, they told the owner "you know, how many times do we have to come out here to deal with you guys," meaning the businessThe police then told me that Sushi X has been known to "scam" their customersFeel free to interview anyone else who was dining at the establishment that evening and I'm sure they would back up my side of this disagreement

Our business, Sushi X, is an all you can eat sushi restaurant. For $24.99 per person, customers can order as much sushi as they desire, and given that they are able to finish all that they order, they will only pay the cover price of $24.99 per person, plus sales tax, for a grand total of $26.74 per...

person. We charge $1 per piece of sushi that the customer cannot finish. Customers are made aware that we charge for leftover food in two ways: a friendly verbal reminder upon being seated, as well as a printed warning clearly written at the top of each "all you can eat" menu, which customers mark up themselves. On the date of the transaction in question, 12/5/15, the customer ordered by placing a "1" next to a roll in the "Special Rolls" section of the menu. This resulted in them receiving a full roll, containing 6-8 pieces (as clearly labeled on the menu). The second time the customer ordered, he ordered 6 rolls from the Special Rolls section, resulting in them receiving 6 full rolls, each containing 6-8 pieces. Upon viewing how large the plays was, the customer refused to accept the order, claiming he thought that the special rolls were ordered by individual pieces, and immediately declared he would not be paying for any leftovers, although he did not attempt to eat it. When the manager was alerted, the customer again refused to pay. Our manager informed the customer that if he was unwilling to pay for the entirety of his meal, the police would be called. When the police arrived, the customer was told that an extra charge of $50 would be added to his bill; $1 for each of the 50 pieces of sushi on his plate. He once again refused, yet the police maintained that he was obligated to pay due to the clear printing of the leftovers policy and the clear printing of the fact that the special rolls come with 6-8 pieces per order. When the customer again refused, the police suggested our manager and the customer make a compromise. After several minutes of rude threats by the customer, our manager agreed to lower the extra charge for leftovers to only $30, to which the customer agreed (verbally). He later agreed to the arrangement again by signing his credit card receipt for a total of $91.89 (2 all you can eat's @ $24.99 each, 2 iced teas @ $2.95 each, an extra charge of $30.00, and $6.01 of sales tax). The next day, the customer wrote a very unsettling [redacted] review that coincidentally failed to mention the reason for his extra charge, as well as characterizing our manager as gay. He found this claim extremely embarrassing considering he has a wife and a newborn son. The customer also threatened an employee, angrily stating, "you have no idea what I would do to you if there weren't police here right now." Had the customer been less lewd and utterly immature about the situation, our business may have understood his mistake in thinking the rolls were ordered in pieces rather than by full rolls. However, his words and actions have caused us to decide that no apology or credit will be offered- the transaction amount still stands at the original $91.89.
