Asplundh Tree Expert Company

This is a rude company, they cut trees in a way that damages the tree, also make it look terrible. They cut the branches and just drop on other plants damaging them. Sloppy, leaving debris and logs all over the yard. NEVER hire this company, I would not recommend them to anyone.

Workers from the Asplundh tree company came to my home to trim my tree on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. They sat in the truck in front of my house for an hour. Then one of the workers urinated right in front of my house (I have pictures). I have small children here and don't appreciate it. I called the company at 724-542-7444 and haven't heard anything back.

Consumer energy had asplundh come and trim trees on my property about three months ago. The employees that did the tree trimming were not trained. They left huge ruts in our yard, one forty foot tree that was marked for trimming had all the branches cut off but one sticking straight in the air, and another tree they completely missed the branches interfering with the power lines and randomly trimmed branches that didn't need it. Also they promised I would get the mulch from the trees but did not leave it. When I called Josh at asplundh he said they wouldn't give me the mulch because they were done on my property and it would be out of the way for their trucks and the trees that were trimmed wrong were my problem. The way I was treated gave the impression that they treat all their customers like this. I will never let asplundh or their employees work on my property again.

Review: In 2013-2014, we contacted AEP who contacted Asplundh regarding a tree that needed to be removed due to a power line near our house. They came and assessed and said they'd come back and take it down and we never saw them. We made a phone call and were told they were backed up and we understand that during storm seasons clean ups happen but that doesn't occur all the time. Just a little bit back we had to be given a new case number which is Asplundh-[redacted]. When the wind blows we can hear the tree cracking. I've spoke with an attorney who informed me we have a case if the tree falls on the line and we're out power we can sue for motel, any food loss in fridge, dining while in motel, and pain and suffering and that includes anyone on the power line. This has been since at least 2014 if not 13. We had a gentleman clear out trees on his days off and he works a weird schedule and he took down 20. You can't tell me in at least 2 years they can't get one if he got 20.Desired Settlement: Take down the tree. They don't have to take it with them. We'll use it for fire wood.
