Review: I was going to [redacted] for dental services from Apr 2011-Nov 2012. He would have me come in to his office at least once a week, sometimes 2-3 times per week for services I never really felt I needed. Every time I would go thinking it was the last for awhile, he would come up with something else he needed to do and schedule me for another appointment. I often tried to cancel or postpone my appointments because I didn't think I needed any more work done, but he would call incessantly saying this was the last thing he needed to do, but that was never the case. He would always say before scheduling me for something that he needed to get it approved by insurance first, which he would always then tell me that it was approved and would be covered and I would not owe anything. This was the only reason that I continued to put up with the frequent visits, as it was being covered by my insurance. Finally in Nov 2012, I had enough of driving back and forth and stopped going to his office and stopped returning his calls for appointment requests. Throughout the time I was going to his office, I would receive regular statements from my insurance showing that made payments and showing that I did not owe anything. Never once did I receive a statement of service or bill from his office throughout the entire time I was going there, nor did he ever say when I was at the office that I had a balance or owed anything. In April of 2013 I read that he was arrested and convicted of insurance fraud, which was of no surprise to me at all. I have not heard anything from him or his office since I stopped going in Nov 2013, until the other day when I received a bill. The bill just states that I have a balance of $2063 but it is crossed out. Further down it says pay $1418, but it is crossed out and $495 is hand written below it. I called and requested an itemized list of services, which I received today. There is 6 pages of services over a span of less than 2 years with a total owed of $889. This cannot be legitimate.Desired Settlement: I would like my balance corrected and zeroed as I was continuously informed by the doctor that all of the services were covered by insurance and that I did not owe anything. They cannot just make up a bill after 2 years with no prior inclination of a balance owed. I will not be paying this balance and I do not want this to show up on my credit report.
