Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , [redacted] ***, manager at Assent, Inc., called me and emailed that Assent, Incwill issue a refund of $to me, I find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved Regards, [redacted] 8/6/ Complaint Assent claims to be a direct lender, so when they say your qualified for a loan they fund it themselvesI explained to them the reason for the loan was to pay off a tax lien from the State of California and I asked it that was a problem and was told they paid tax liens off all the time and it was no problemI went through the process with a person calling herself [redacted] a Mortgage Banker, she ran credit check, collected all the necessary paperwork and told me all I needed to do to get the loan was pay for a certified home appraisalI was told the loan would fund on April 17th They even called the Board of Equalization and told them it was going to be paid offTwo days before the loan was to go through, I was told I needed to get the State of California to release the lien before they would fund the loan, this was a total reversal of everything I was toldI told [redacted] I needed all of this in writing to make sure there was no misunderstandings, she told me she was going to work on itThey have not sent me anything,, they do not return phone callsThey are just ignoring me and their obligation to follow through on what they startedAt this point all communication ceased when I insisted on written communications Desired Resolution I believe they should fund the loan and pay off the tax lien as promised, if they can not do it, then I what full disclosure of what happened and by whom and just where does my so called mortgage banker [redacted] fits into the process the only fair solution would be for them to: 1) Fund the loan as promised if not then 2) Written communications from [redacted] who claims to be a mortgage banker explaining why she misrepresented the loan approval to get me to pay for the home appraisals 3) If loan is not funded I want both home appraisal fees refunded ($1000.00) 4) Written explanation why loan is rejected and by whom 5) Stop advertising they are a direct lender if they are not lending the money Consumer Business Dialog
[redacted] ***# [redacted] I just received a email from Assent Incclaiming they did send me a letter September 10, in regards to my request for their assistances dated September 2, I never received this letter dated September 10, but I am satisfied now with their response I would to thank you, [redacted] for helping me with this matter.Sincerely Yours [redacted] 8/8/ Complaint Assent Incsolicited refinancing though an email in early April in which [redacted] (employee) stated that the interest rates were at an all time low; in mid [redacted] locked (he stated that was a days lock) for me a years loan at 3.375% interest guaranteeing that the refinancing would be at no cost (only a $appraisal fee and $credit report fee, at my cost, would be required)My cost for the refinancing would be $ Assent Inc(via [redacted] ) sent edocs to signI noticed from the beginning errors in such edocs that I pointed out to [redacted] , she told me that those docs were to start the process and errors would be corrected once I provided all the needed information then new and correct docs would be issuedI sent all the requested documents (needed to complete the refinancing process) by the end of AprilAt that time Assent Inccould have sent the subordination request for the equity line and ordered the appraisal that would have allowed them/us to complete the refy withing the days lock period and honored the initial agreementAssent Incwaited for mid May to send the subordination request and until early June to order the appraisalAt the end of the first week of May I emailed [redacted] inquiring about the lock expiration date and why we were not moving faster, she told me all was OKIn mid May I was instructed to pay appraisal and subordination fees, at a time in which the initial deal had expired, even though I was never told, despite my inquiring via email In mid June Assent Inc(via [redacted] ***) called me to let me know that the prior agreement was not possible because too much time had passed and [redacted] could not do anything for me and was out of the picture; after quite a bit of bargaining on the phone he offered that I would pay $cost for refinancing at a much worse rate of 3.5% The cost for the refinancing would now be times greater than the initially promised $ Desired Resolution I had no fault in the failure to complete the refinancing process within the allocated daysAssent Incmade promises and did nothing to honor those (in fact its actions delayed the process beyond the lock period); instead of apologizing for forcing a much worse rate on me, Assent (via [redacted] ***) attempted to obtain much higher costsAssent Incproved to be unprofessional and without doubt practiced predatory behavior with me (soliciting the refy, promising a very good deal they certainly made sure NOT to deliver, had no transparency (by making me pay for appraisal and subordination fees at the time in which my initial rate had vanished, while not informing me of it)Due to all the above I have lost faith in Assent Incand demand the refund of all the fees I have paid so far ($total: $for the appraisal+$for the rent comparison+$for the subordination), since I had no fault in the failure to complete the refinancing Consumer Business Dialog
