Review: some last year I was looking for help for loan modification on a 2nd mortgage in which I was contacted by Mr. [redacted] from Asset Law Center He promise I was going to pay pennies on a dollar, as well as a principal reduction, on my 2nd mortgage everything was suppose to be done in a period of three or four months that was my question...then Mr. [redacted] call me and ask me for the money. then then [redacted] call me ask me for up front money I told her I did not have the total amount so she ask for part of it so, I was ask to deposited the money on a Wells Fargo Bank in a personal account the amount of $400.00 after this done no one call any more or return any of my calls. I keep on calling and leaving many messages and voice messages. until I call the Company my self to ask them if Asset Law Center was working with my modification. to my surprised the company told there has been no activity from them at all. so after this phone call I call [redacted] like always no answer so I left voice mails (several) since I did not no get any answer I call MR. [redacted] he said that he has not been at work in a couple of weeks but he was going to her. but she did not return my call until I call again and left a message to ask for a refund since they did not do nothing. she got very defensive and denied everything the was promise. I'M taking this matter to the general attorney's office. this company is just ripping off people.Desired Settlement: I WANT A REFUND SINCE THEY NOTHING AT ALL.

In response to complaint of [redacted] and Asset Law

Center:

[redacted] did reach out for help regarding

restructuring her mortgage. We explained that we could not help her on her

first mortgage because her lender had just restructured her loan. She is mistaken about being a client of Asset

Law Center. We have gone through our records and she was not and is not a

client of Asset Law Center. I have asked her to produce a contract that shows

she is contracted with Asset Law Center and she became very agitated and

threatening. If documents were prepared for her it was not through Asset Law

Center. Please ask her to provide a contract that she was a client of Asset Law

Center and not just in communication with our company and we would like to go over with her.

Review: IN MAY OF 2012, I CONTACTED ASSET LAW CENTER TO ELICIT THEIR ASSISTANCE IN OBTAINING A MORTGAGE REDUCTION WITH MY LENDER. I WAS PROMISED THAT MY MONTHLY MORTGAGE PAYMENT WOULD BE REDUCED FROM $1800 PER MONTH TO $1100 PER MONTH OR LESS. IN JUNE OF THIS YEAR, THE LENDER REFUSED TO GRANT ME A MORTGAGE REDUCTION, WHICH ASSET LAW CENTER FAITHFULL PROMISED I WOULD RECEIVE. I PAID $3600 IN ADVANCE TO OBTAIN THIS OUTCOME. TODAY MY CHILDHOOD HOME HAS BEEN FORCLOSED AND I AM OUT $3600.Desired Settlement: WHILE I WOULD LIKE TO OBTAIN A REFUND, I RECOGNIZE THAT I WILL LIKELY NEVER SEE MY $3600 AGAIN. HOWEVER, BY FILING THIS COMPLAINT, I CAN AT LEAST HELP ENSURE THAT SOME OTHER UNSUSPECTING CONSUMER AVOID A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE.
