Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the businessin reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I asked for reduced in rent (asked nicely) due to a death in a familyYou agreed kindly to itThe only on other time was when I was in the process of moving out and only did so as you mentioned it would be a possibility so that I could gets some of my $deposit back ahead of time to use as a deposit on a new placeAfter you denied that I paid rent in fullThat is 2x, not every other month. Also, the fee to move out is ridiculous and the agreement I signed does not state that fee anywhereI moved out ONLY so my roommates girlfriend could move in. I never haggled you until the very end when you would not reply to my calls or emails when trying to resolve the discrepancy about the amount of deposit paid. You even tried to short me more of my deposit unless I could find a copy of the deposit check from my bankWhich I did and then you added these new fees so you could pocket extra money. I am a year old adult with zero issues in the past with any renting situationThis was the worst experience from a company I was hoping would treat me well and honor my deposit in full as I left the room in amazing condition, was a great roommate and always paid rent on time.If you want to charge me the late fee for a miscommunication on your part that is fineAt this point I would except the "assignment" fee plus the $you accidentally shorted back as a settlementIf not I plan to bring this to small claims court.
Regards,
*** ***

Mr. [redacted] has received most of his security deposit with the exception of a late fee of $200 and an assignment fee of $250(450 not 500). He has by far been the first rent "haggler" tenant we've ever had. Every other month he would send messages to pay less rent. His claims of unresponsive [redacted] are...

false.  We told him that we would make arrangements (for a move out). Tenants are equally and severally liable until all tenants vacate and terminate the agreement. We have documentation that proves his character as a bad tenant and a bad roommate.   have had decent credit, this would not be an issue.

We have a contract. You pay by a certain date or pay a late fee. You don't give a formal notice of moving out and we worked with you on your transition because you couldn't afford it. Mr. [redacted] knew that there would be a penalty for the move out, as he mentioned "I know that Anthony paid $250, I just didn't expect to pay it."  I'm not sure why he thought it would be different.

Review: Asset Management & Investments was supposed to be managing and leasing our company's retail property in San Diego. Asset Management & Investments requested to be in charge of leasing empty space to new tenants for a fee "to be decided later between manager and owner." After several months, Asset Management & Investments failed to lease any space. Getting updates on new inquiries was extremely difficult for us. They did get partially completed applications and unprofessionally and inaccurately drafted leases with one existing tenant and one former tenant. Even though no mutually signed lease agreements were completed, they gave full access of our property to both new tenants. Asset Management & Investments additionally failed to receive several critical documents from the tenants including (but not only) tenant contact information, business licenses, and tenant's proof of insurance. Then Asset Management & Investments took $3,000 out of our owner's account as "leasing fees." Subsequently, when we approached Asset Management & Investments about our getting a professional leasing company to take over just the leasing, they demanded additional management fees of greater than 200% increase over the established contract rate as well as leasing commissions for all future leases that our tenants might sign someday in the future. When we explained to Asset Management & Investments that this is unreasonable, they told us that until we paid them all the monies they want, they would not give us back access to our property and stated that they were holding the keys hostage.Desired Settlement: Asset Management & Investments should immediately return our $3,000. The property's keys should be immediately returned to us and Asset Management & Investments should agree to terminate the property management agreement with no additional fees due to them for any work whatsoever.
