I am rejecting this response because: "Pastor" G*** is not being honest in his responseHe failed to mention that the reason I called him when the car broke down after picking up my title was because he flooded the engine with oil. When I went to pick up the title, I complained that the noise that the car was making, which he initially told me was just the muffler, was getting louder and louderHE popped the hood, added oil to the car, and I left his officeNot even a quarter of a mile down the road, the car breaks down, so of course I called himAnd of course he paid for the repairs and put me in another car. I had my year old son with me when he flooded the engineI would've filed this complaint a lot sooner if he didn't pay for the repairs to the damage he'd done and put me in another car.It should also be noted that in Sam G***'s response, he mentions the use of incorrect oil being the cause of my engine problems which resulted in the car breaking down AGAIN after monthsI took this car in for regular maintenance every $3,milesThe only incorrect oil consumption this car has ever received while in my possession was when Sam flooded my engine in March when I went to pick up the title from himThis further confirms that he needs to refund me the $6,I paid for this car or replace it

We received your letter with a copy of Ms. [redacted]'s response.Thankfully, Ms. [redacted] confirmed that I went above and beyond despite not being obligated to do anything to help with her car more than one month after she purchased the car.She also confirmed she got frequent oil changes. She needs to go to whoever did the last oil change before she had drivability issues to complain about engine oil flooding issues. Even if an engine is overfilled with oil as she is alleging, (I checked the oil level before she left our lot that day), less than a quarter mile of driving in normal traffic for 2-3minutes is not enough to damage the engine. But even after she claimed to have stopped a quarter mile away, I made sure she only drove the car maybe 75 yards to the next traffic light to a gas station and had the car trucked from there to the shop where the car was serviced and we paid for both the tow and the service. She drove it for a further 6 months, called me a few weeks later to confirm her car was running great, no more issues. If she had any issues  six months afterwards, it has nothing to do with our dealership. This is a futile effort and I am sorry she is wasting yours and my time. The long and short is; she bought a used car as is, she was told we are available to advise if she needs it but she never called. As far as this complaint is concerned, this is the last and final response from us. We are not obligated or responsible to maintain or repair a customer's car 7 months after she purchased the car.It is unnecessary to contact us again on this issue.

We are responding to the complaint submitted to Revdex.com by one of our previous customers, [redacted].The Customer purchased a used 2008 VW Passat 2.0 Komfort from our Dealership completely AS-IS on Feb. 8th 2015. No warrant was promised or implied before, during or after the sale. She test drove the...

car (actually took an extended test drive and arrived back at the lot with a relative during the test drive) before she decided to go ahead and purchase the car for $5210.00 only. Her total balance was $6000.56 after tax, title, fees and loan interest was added to the purchase price. The complaint is deliberately written to give the impression that this car was bad from the start. She drove the car for 4weeks then complained her car flashed a message saying she needed to stop and visit the workshop after the 4th week or so for an oil pressure related issue. Because she had just left our lot to pick up her memo title, she was only 5 minutes away. I personally drove another VW Passat to help her despite having no obligation to do so. I then advised her it was better she did not go back to work with that message on her car and gave her the VW I was in, arranged a tow truck to take her car to a mechanic who replaced the vacuum pump seal and did an oil change within a few days. I then went with her to pick up her car and I paid the bill in full. She was quite thankful and called me at the next pyment instalment date to report her car was doing fine. When a car is sold as-is, a used car dealer has no obligation to maintain a customer’s car after the sale nor provide a loaner car yet out of compassion we did.The customer drove the car daily since the day she purchased the car (except for when she had the vacuum seal replaced on the 6th of March 2015 during which time we provided her a loaner car) and never complained to us about any issues until her complaint to Revdex.com 10th of September when she said her car was valued at $500 and diagnosed with several emissions and turbo related issues and a dark and dirty engine oil. VWs must have regular synthetic oil and filter changes and emissions issues are actually service issues that need a vw savvy service technician. There is no lemon law applicable to a used car sold as is in Ohio. The customer could have purchased a warranty from any # of vendors if they wanted to. This customer was told to call me if she has any problems with her car for our advise or even to help procure discounted spare parts at Dealer rates but she never called me to seek advise or help. Next thing I heard is this. This complaint is unfair and baseless and the valuation that [redacted], another car dealership placed on the car has no bearing whatsoever on her car purchase from Asset Motors LLC. In six years of business, we have had no complaints whatsoever from any of our hundreds of customers and this complaint is obviously unwarranted. Who buys a used car as-is, drives them daily for 7months then turns around and blames the dealer for emissions and turbo related fault codes while still driving around in the car. There is no dispute needing a resolution in this situation.
