Asset recovery has placed a lien on me for which I know nothing about.
I had a prior collection with this company for a debt with my old apartment. After I thought it was taken care of by my old roommate, they place a garnishment on my account. I paid the garnishment in full to resume access to my bank account. I paid this amount as I knew I owed it. 3 months later, they place another lien. This time, it is for *** I tried to look on VA courts to see this amount and how they did this and I can't find anything. I don't understand how I owe this amount. when I call the representative is so mean to me when I am trying to understand. I asked them to provide a breakdown of these charges and they have yet to do so. I thought this was done 3 months ago and it is not. I'm scared to give me money to someone who will come back after me and take more of my money for charges that I don't understand. This is really concerning as they have access to my money in my bank. Now I am stuck with a frozen account and I do not understand how I owe this money.
I want proof that I owe this money
WE OBTAINED THE FILE ON 3/28/2016 AND MAILED ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE TO THE CUSTOMER ON THAT DATE OUTLINGING THE BALANCE DUE AND THAT IT HAD BEEN SENT TO OUR OFFICE FOR LEGAL COLLECTIONS. ON 6/25/2019 THE CUSTOMER CALLED OUR OFFICE TO DISCUSS THE DEBT AND OFFERED TO SETTLE THE BALANCE FOR A REDUCED AMOUNT. THE CLIENT REFUSED THE SETTLEMENT ON THE DEBT. THE CUSTOMER THEN STATED HE WANTED TO SET UP AN ARRANGEMNT ON THE BALANCE, HOWEVER, FAILED TO DO SUCH, RESULTING IN LEGAL COLLECTIONS, SUCH AS BANK LIEN, WHICH WAS FILED ON A JUDGMENT OBTAINED IN NORFOLK GENERAL DISTRICT COURT. EMAIL WITH FULL BREAKDOWN OF ALL CHARGES ON ACCOUNT HAS BEEN SENT TO THE CUSTOMER, PER HIS REQUEST.
