Review: I was recently in need of a new truck and was searching for an older vehicle understanding the risks of purchasing a vehicle with high miles. I saw a few used trucks in this establishments lot and inquired about a test drive, after a drive and a discussion about a few issues with a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, I agreed to purchase the vehicle for the sum of 3000 as long as the transmission slips and other issues were taken care of. [redacted] the [redacted] of this business told me that he has a mechanic that will fix the issues with the transmission. He replaced with a used transmission from another vehicle owned by Asset Recovery Liquidators. After about 2 weeks the transmission began failing again and I was told that the truck was sold as is and there was nothing he can do. I took the truck to a transmission mechanic who informed me that due to negligence and improper installation of a used transmission, as well as a complete lack of understanding of the workings of a transmission led to failure of the used transmission and a large number of additional repairs to the truck all to the sum of $2800. I understand the lemon law does not protect me in this instance as the truck has 150000 miles on it, but as a dealer with an onsite mechanic, this business cannot sell vehicles in this condition without repercussionsDesired Settlement: As it was agreed upon that the transmission would be taken care of by Asset Recovery Liquidators and I am coming out of my pocket for the repair due to their negligence I believe it is fair that the repair which is now being done by a qualified mechanic be covered by them as well.

Review: HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE FIRST COMPLAINT BOUGHT A 2000 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO FOR 5000 HAS HIGH MILEAGE AS WELL. WHEN I BOUGHT THIS CAR TEST DROVE IT EVERYTHING WAS FINE. [redacted] ONE OF THE OWNERS HAD TO DRIVE IT AROUND FOR SUCH AN SUCH MILES BECAUSE IT NEEDED TO BE INSPECTED STATED HE WOULD LEAVE THE CAR OUTSIDE THAT NIGHT FOR ME TO PICK UP WITH EVERYTHING GOOD TO GO. CAME THERE LATE THAT NIGHT PICKED UP THE JEEP THE INSIDE WAS NEVER CLEANED SMELT LIKE SMOKE ASHES EVERYWHERE ON THE FLOOR OKAY I CAN DEAL WITH THAT JUST CLEAN IT RIGHT. THOUGHT THAT WAS MY ONLY ISSUE GET IN IT LITERALLY DRIVE IT NOT EVEN 2 MILES TO MY HOUSE SMOKE POURING OUT OF THE HOOD ANTIFREEZE BUBBLING UP CALLED [redacted] SOON AS IT HAPPENED NO ANSWER THE CAR HAD COMPLETELY OVER HEATED WITHIN 5 MINS OF HAVING IT. SO NEXT MORNING GET ON THE PHONE EXPLAIN THE PROBLEMS. [redacted] SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR WHEN HE WAS DRIVING IT!!! SO I COMPLAIN AND COMPLAIN SO FINALLY HE SAYS HE HAS A MECHANIC WHO WILL FIX THE PROBLEM........ THE MECHANIC IS JUST A CROOKED AS HE IS WHEN I ASKED FOR PAPERS REGARDING THE DAMAGES FIXED THE MECHANIC SAID [redacted] GETS THEM WHEN I ASKED WHY DOES HE GET THEM WHEN ITS MY CAR? HE HAS NO ANSWER SO WENT BACK TO [redacted] CAR WAS NEVER FIXED!!!!!! OVERHEATED EVERYWHERE I DROVE IT EVERYTHING IS FRAUD ABOUT THIS CAR.. I HAVEN'T EVEN PUT 25 MILES ON IT SINCE I GOT IT BACK IN AUGUST 2014......... THEY WONT HELP IM STILL MAKING PAYMENTS ON A PIECE OF $%^* CAR AND ALL THEY TELL ME IS I BOUGHT IT AS IS.......... NO I BOUGHT A CAR NOT A FRAU DENTAL CAR THAT HAS PARTS DUCK TAPPED AND SCREWED TOGETHER.
