Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: One the complaint was made for my daughter who's name is on here which they clearly can seeAnd also when she went to retrieve her belongings from this company todaySomeone stole her jacket out of the vehicle that was repossesed and also they wouldn't allow me to get the parking sticker for my building parking garage which cost me $dollarsAnd I would like that back since it was paid for or they can pay me for the stickerBut I don't appreciate my jacket being stolen out of the car.Sincerely, [redacted]

AssetsBiz Corpcame in to possession of the complainants
vehicle on 10/22/15. In accordance with
Illinois law, the vehicle went through a process in which the contents were
inventoried. It appears the complainant
was in the midst of a move as the vehicle was completely filled with
personal
property. The complainant called in to
our office on 10/22/and was given information including the cost of
retrieving the items in the vehicle as well as general fees to pick up
vehicles. *** in our office advised
the complainant that since the vehicle had just been picked up that we did not
yet have specifics as far as where she would have to go to pick up the unit
and/or the contents and that she would have to call back for further info.On 10/27/15, the complainant called in and spoke with *** in
our office. The complainant wanted to
come pick up medication prescriptions that were in her personal property. *** explained that we were in the village of
***, IL and organized with the complainant that someone from our location
would pick her up at the ***, IL Metra station at 2:40PM and that we would
give her the medication at no charge.
*** additionally, told the complainant that he would like to have
someone verify that these items were in the vehicle and call her back. *** called the complainant back and let her
know that the prescription papers were located and that she could pick them up.On 10/28/15, the complainant called in and spoke with ***
in our office. The complainant stated
that she was going to rent a vehicle instead of taking the train. The complainant wanted the exact address we
were at so that she could come get her things.
*** away she was so that she could determine that she could make it
before we closed. At this time the
complainant started shouting expletives and told *** to give her the ***
address and hung up. Due to the nature
of our business, anytime any individual calls in and becomes irate we are
forced to take steps to protect the safety of the individuals that work here.Later that day, the complainant showed up. She claimed that she had gotten our address
from the police and that she had advised them that we were refusing to give her
our address which clearly has never been the case. The complainant also reiterated on several
occasions that she believed that her vehicle was picked up in error. *** in our office advised the complainant
that we are do not have access to that kind of information and that she would
have to discuss that with her finance institution. The complainant was advised that we were
going to return her prescriptions as well as her license plates. Upon, trying to remove the license plates our
office learned that the rear plate was held on by locking bolts. We explained to the complainant that we could
only give her the front plate unless she had the equipment to remove the locks
The complainant started out very hostile and threatened lawsuit when she
arrived, she also took photos of individuals without their permission and our
premises without our permission. When we
gave her back her prescriptions she signed for them and she had been a little
more cordial and even mentioned that her issue was with the finance
institution. We requested the keys from
the complainant so that we could access the trunk and complete the process of
inventorying her personal items. On 10/30/15, the complainant called in and stated she was
going to send a fax but our records do not show that the fax arrived In conclusion, the complainant is making the accusation that
we withheld our address from her. In
accordance with Illinois law, we attempted to send the complainant a certified
letter (cert mail # *** *** *** *** *** ***, that was returned due to an
inaccurate address. This address was
provided to us by the complainants finance institution. We at no time withheld the address from the
complainant. At this time, we do have personal
items in inventory that belongs to the complainant however there is a charge to
pick up these items. If the complainant
is interested in getting a list of the items we have in inventory she would
need to request that information from her finance institution

I had a car recovered, was my mistake But I worked with Assets Biz Corp to pick up the vehicle the very same day
The person I spoke to and the person that was at the front desk was very cordial and treated me nicely
However, when I got the vehicle returned and the inventory of the car I found that money had been stolen from the vehicle Although the amount stolen (all the change in the change area, except for the pennies) was low I thought it was important to call them and let them know a thief is working for them Now I wonder what else is missing from my car like personal information that can be used I was very concerned and called the office and spoke to an employee that told be the Manager was busy
I told him what had happened and thought it important that the Manager know He said the Manager was on the phone and that he would call me back about the issue
He never called so I believe it must be standard practice with them to steal from anyone they can and who cares Not something we would have dealt with lightly in the military
I will file a formal complaint with my bank so that they are not used ever again since it is not nice to be violated like this and wonder if someone stole anything else from your personal property
Stay away from this company

I am rejecting this response because:  One the complaint was made for my daughter who's name is on here which they clearly can see. And also when she went to retrieve her belongings from this company today. Someone stole her jacket out of the vehicle that was repossesed and also they wouldn't allow me to get the parking sticker for my building parking garage which cost me $100.00 dollars. I've been trying to get my car back it was repossessed. They had me call the lot number to set up an appointment to pick up my vehicle. I called the number several times and left two messages. To no avail did anyone answer or call me back for 4 hours. I attempt to call again and a Man voice picks up who I believe to be "Dan" the lot assistant. He answered and before I could say hello he shouted "Calling me back to back over ten times is not going to get your car back faster" and proceeded to hang up in my face. I'm pretty sure that is not a way to treat any customers wether they are at a line at [redacted] or are actually calling to try to get their possessions back so that they can make sure they can have a car to go to work and keep their job. He also lied to his manager and said that I cursed him out and that I never left any messages on the voicemail. I hope no one has to come across the rudeness and disrespect that I've delt with today. Honest review.
