I have investigated the account information and spoken to the representative about the apparent heavy-handedness used.  I will also personally contact the consumer by email or phone to try to arrange a cordial and manageable payment arrangement.

Review: I have been paying my student loan through this company with a woman that has the dunny name "[redacted]". I called [redacted] today (May 15th) regarding a payment that she set up that was not authorized. [redacted] was very rude and ignorant and proudly proclaims that the phone calls are recorded and that she can speak with me in any manner she wants because she is in 1st party collections and not 3rd party collections"

I set up payments for Feb, March and April and Mays payment was not set up yet. She started using perfanity and telling me that she spoke with me on the 9th and that I authorized that she can take the payments every 2nd Friday of the month as before. Not to mention today is Thursday and the money came out of my account. I was suppose to call her this month to set up arrangements. which I planned on doing but wasn't sure what date I can pay as of yet. I asked to speak with her manager and she said she would have her manager call me back and hung up. I called back 3 times and each time she laughed and told me "Call back all you want I'm going to keep hang up" Then threatened that she will be taking the whole balance of $700.00 out of my account on June 1st. I understand that I do owe this money but I did not authorize her to take money out of my account when she did. Today was the first time I have spoken with her since last month when she took money out of my account although she claimed she spoke with me on May 9th to set up further arrangements when she did not. The whole conversation was totally unethical. And I have done collections myself and know that you cannot use perfanity or act in that manner whether its 1st party or 3rd party collections. I don't think she knows the meaning of customer service and she shouldn't be able to speak with people in that manner.Desired Settlement: I want my money back since the transaction was not authorized and I want someone more pleasant and honest to handle my account and I will continue to make good on my loan. I honestly don't think she should be working there.

Review: I do agree that they have tried to contact me on more than several occasions but the last time the guy was really nasty. Yes I have been having problems with my phone and my computer. However I wrote a letter explaining and what I could pay. I was told my letter was nonsense and that they were tired of trying to reach me, the attitude was nasty. When I called I got the same response, the guy even got me mixed up with some other client and started to threatening me with the client taking me to court and have I ever been to court, do I know what I woould be going through etc. There was no apology made to how he left the message on my phone and how nasty he was. In the letter I stated I could pay $82.29 for 24 months starting July 12th, 2014. That was not enough but that is what I can afford! Since then I found out that I have to have surgery so I needed to change it to August 12th, 2014, he said he could not do it and off with the nastiness again. Actually he didn't give me the chance to even tell him why I had to change the date. Again I know these people get exasperated with us who have difficulties in life but whatever I told him was true and I am doing the best I can. But to be treated like that was uncalled for.Desired Settlement: To accept the 82.29 payment by mail. I will send a check every month to get to them the 12th of every month but I don't want them to have the right to take money out of my account. At this point I don't trust them to do that.
