I am rejecting this response because: There does not appear to be a resolution offered by the companyThere does appear to be a letter that defends the company's position regarding the statements I made in mu complaintI stand by the original comments I made that stated the company is misleading in its origin, and their claims that they can decrease or erase student loans.

Good talking to you today.  This is in response to the erroneous complaint that we received from [redacted] regarding a mail advertisement she claims to have received from us.  In no way do we represent ourselves as being a government agency.  She states that we “appear" to be...

from the government, which I’m sure there are some people that believe the Revdex.com “appears” to be a government entity, but most rational people know that it’s a private company.  The words used in our company name are defined in the below (from Dictionary.com) and in no way represents a government program or an association with the government.  Assisting is defined as...to give support or aid to; help.America is defined as…United States, North America, South America.Initiative is defined as...an introductory act or step; leading action; readiness and ability in initiating action; enterprise. The purpose of our company is explained clearly on our website at http://assistingamericainitiative.com.  Many federal student loan borrowers do qualify for payment reduction and forgiveness through programs offered by the Department of Education, but are unaware of it.  We simply advertise that these options do exist and if they contact us we can connect them to a company that specializes in services that can assist the borrower with determining their eligibility.  Just like most people hire a CPA to do their taxes because it is complicated many people hire document processing agencies to help them with student loan consolidation through the DOE because it is complicated.  In addition, we conspicuously state in the footer on our website the following disclaimer for those who have an agenda and choose to misinterpret the services we offer.---*Assisting America Initiative, LLC (AAI) is a private organization and is not associated or affiliated with any government agency including the Department of Education. AAI refers student loan borrowers to companies who specialize in the preparation, submission and tracking of federal student loan consolidation documents as required by the Department of Education for the purpose of federal student loan consolidation. Not available in all states.---Any individual without an agenda would clearly see that we are a private company offering a referral service.  Her opinion is that we are trying to mislead people.  In no way do we advertise that student loan borrowers WILL receive forgiveness as she states in her complaint.  The simple fact is that the Department of Education has programs which forgive student loan debt and reduce payments for those who meet specific criteria.  As stated previously we simply advertise that student loan borrowers may be eligible for these programs and if they want to find out, then they contact us to be connected to a company who can assist them with determining there eligibility.  We are not making statements like you are eligible or you qualify or you are approved or guaranteed something.  We are stating that they “may” be eligible (because many student loan borrowers are eligible, some are not, but we don’t know who is and who is not) and if they are interested in finding out, then we can connect them with a reputable company that can assist them. Her assertion that this is a type of deception is could give a borrower a false sense of security is confusion.  False sense of security?  How?  There are two ways to reach us.  Either by calling us or completing the short form on our website.  Either way the borrower will speak to a live representative that clearly communicates the service as advertised.  In addition, we checked our phone records from 4/5-4/8/2016 and confirmed that [redacted] never called in as she claimed.  [redacted] claimed to have received a mail advertisement on 4/5 and called in on 4/8.  We checked our phone records and had only 6 calls coming from NC during that 4-day period.  None of the 6 NC callers provided the Case ID# [redacted] she used in her complaint, nor did any of the callers have the first name [redacted] or last name [redacted] or make any complaints.  Furthermore, her desired outcome/settlement refers to revisions of statements that we do not make in any of our advertisements.  We do not state that the AAI can or will reduce or erase student loan balances.  We do not represent that we are affiliated with the Federal government or offer a government or president sponsored program.  These are false claims.  I kindly request that the Revdex.com expunge this invalid complaint.  Please let me know if there is anything else we can provide.Sincerely,Scott C[redacted]Managing PartnerAssisting America Initiative[redacted]Washington, DC 20006###-###-####www.assistingamericainitiative.com[redacted]
