Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Ms. [redacted]’s concerns. We apologize for the difficulty in communicating her balance due. Statements were sent to the account address provided to TCAA by the facility where services were provided, but we now realize that Ms. [redacted] has a different address...
where the bill should have been sent. The claim was filed initially to her insurance company, who processed the claim for contractual discount, payment and indicated the $208 as patient responsibility. Ms. [redacted] may should have received an explanation of benefits from her insurance company. She may contact her insurance company to obtain a copy of the explanation of benefits for this service if she needs another copy. The statement mailed to her correct address following her call on June 23rd, 2017 shows the transfer of $208 unpaid balance to the collection agency, so that is why the bill indicated the balance due to TCAA was zero. [redacted] then pursued this legal and valid debt. In light of the difficulties Ms. [redacted] has had, we will close the account with the collection agency and remove any credit bureau reporting that occurred. She may issue payment directly to TCAA to resolve this outstanding balance. It is unfortunate that we were not initially provided a correct address, we apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused.
