Associated Building Supply, Inc("ABSi") is fully aware of this issue The issue(s) concerns a third party manufactured product that we represent as a certified dealer.The issues raised within the complaint are well known to us We have been working diligently as the liaison between the customer and the manufacturer to resolve the issues under a warranty claim proceedure and in compliance with the terms and conditions of the manufactures printed warranty.This manufacturer, Jeld-Wen, has historically performed on its warranty and there is no reason to conclude that the problems will not be resolved in a manner satisfactory to the end user Mitigation efforts and on site remediation has commenced by the factory service team for Jeld-Wen.As is the case in complex claims, the claim procedure takes time I assure all parties that ABSi has and will continue to advocate for the client in this warranty claim.ABSi is not the manufacturer and is not in control of the warranty process We are acting in a responsible manner to speed the process and make the client whole.In keeping with the manufacturers warranty, ABSi can not simply refund the monies paid at this time as we can not breech the warranty process The customer has been in continuing contact with the management of this company as well as the manufacturer The manufacturer is determining the cause of the problem and has the sole responsibility to rectify that problem I am confident that action is forthcoming I understand that the customer is experiencing concern related to the timing of resolution ABSi will increase its advocacy on this matter.The client is welcome to contact management and we will be reaching out directly to ascertain any developments that we may not be aware of.Christopher ColePresidentABSi(888) 422-9422(805) 382-Direct

Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: ABSi brought a door on 11/12/- the door was warped/waved in the top right quadrant and did not fit the opening correctly - see pictures attached - they took it back - we are awaiting resolution!! Regards, [redacted] D***

As regards MsD***'s complaint; ABSi has been actively addressing this concern for awhile. The manufacturer had been contacted and this issue is well into satisfactory resolutionThe manufacturer has acknowledged a valid warranty claim. In response to this claim, they have
produced a replacement door and they have agreed to prefinish this new item per the homeowners requestThe new door requires at least days of prefinish cure time to assure the finish survives transport to the jobsiteAll this has been communicated in a timely manner to MsD*** bu both ABSi and by the manufacturerOnce this replacement door arrives at the homeowners site, we will consider the manufacturers obligation as having been met and this warranty claim resolvedABSi is a dealer of these types of products. As such, we must rely on the manufacturer's warranties and warranty procedures. The manufacturer has or will meet all their stated obligations once this product is complete.Regards, C*** ** *** President

I am rejecting this response because: I am waiting for a new functioning front door to be delivered - I have not yet been given a delivery date - I will inform the Revdex.com when the situation has been properly resolved!

I am rejecting this response.We are still holding ABS liable for selling us windows and sliding glass doors that lack a performance grade rating. None of the sliding glass doors had a performance grade rating. Our window order contained many large, custom, expensive mulled windows. Of those mulled windows, only two had a performance rating. The remainder did not. This means that they are not compliant with California Building Code and their ability to test water intrusion has not been tested by a proper AAMA certified lab.Since ABS chooses to blatantly lie about providing us with these unrated windows, I am attaching pictures taken directly of the labels attached to the unrated Jeld-Wen windows that ABS supplied. Note that the close-ups clearly state "Mulled Unit - No Rating Selected", meaning they have no performance rating

The manufacturer has been in contact with MsD*** and advised her that the door has been remanufactured and that they are going to prefinish the replacement door per her request. MsD*** was advised that the finish selected would require a cure time prior to transporting to her location. That time was estimated at 7-days. Given that, MsD*** should have a reasonable expectation of receiving her product the week of 12/11/17. ABSi will continue to follow up on her behalf for a satisfactory resolution to this warranty matter. We apologize for the time it has taken to acheive this solution. ABSi has no control over the manufacturers resolution of warranty claims as they reserve the exclusive right to manage their warranty provisions. ABSi does and will continue to utilize its influence towards a favorable resolution. In this case, the manufacturer has agreed to all MsD***'s requests

I have reviewed the customers response to Complaint 10430565.I have submitted Jeld-Wen's warranty statement regarding actions taken and pending for this customer.  This was submitted through the Revdex.com agent.The manufacture, as stated in this letter, has made numerous attempts to continue the warranty servicing of these products.  No response has been forthcoming from the client.The statement that Jeld-Wen products are not performance tested is incorrect.  Performance testing data is available on Jeld-Wen's website and can be accessed by the consumer.  Performance ratings were provided on the customers contract documents prior to acceptance of the order.  All the products supplied were and are tested.  the products carry both an NFRC rating as well as a Performance Grade.  The NFRC ratings are energy related.  The Performance Grade is a statement of the air and water certification.  The statement that the  Jeld-Wen products supplied were not tested and that ABSi misled the client are incorrect.The statement that ABSi is not acting on behalf of this client is inaccurate.  ABSi has acting on behalf of the Saraliev's with the manufacturer.  The manufacturer has responded and has made several documented attempts to schedule corrective warranty action related to the products on site.  Please see the Jeld-Wen statement. (attachment).ABSi remains committed to the satisfactory resolution of this warranty claim.  ABSi has and will continue to work with the manufacturer for this result.  ABSi can not act as an agent of the manufacturer as regards the resolution of a warranty claim.  That responsibility resides with the originator of the warranty.  It is factual that the manufacturer has and continues to reach out to this client to resolve the claim within the guidelines of the written warranty.  Jeld-Wen has proposed a course of action in response to this claim.  They are awaiting the clients acceptance and approval to proceed.As a dealer for this product, I am confident that the manufacture has taken their obligation seriously and has and will act upon that obligation.Regards,Christopher ColePresident
