I was on a delivery when my wife called me and told me we had a customer at the store with a warranty issueOnce arrival at the store I saw the invoice for a mattress only so I asked the customer what he had the mattress onHe said he didn't
know but would have to ask his wifeMy wife then said in front of the customer that the customer has told her before I arrived that it was on a platformMy wife asked him what was under the platform and the customer said it was on a year old box spring from ***I told him that the box spring it was on was most likely failing and caused the mattress to failI told him I would look at the mattress, beings he had it in the truckWhen I went outside to look at the mattress it was face down in the truckAs he was going to untie the mattress I informed again I will have to look at the box spring to make sure it was good*** and his wife stated they had a wall board on top of the box alsoThat would lead me to believe that the box had an issue with itI informed him that for the manufacturer to warranty the mattress that I had to see the existing boxHe said he drove miles at miles per gallonI told him that according to the warranty I needed to see the boxHe kept on telling me we drove miles, I told him that I had to see his existing box for the warranty procedureHe refused to bring his existing box back to the storeI told him that a service call that distance would cost Also when he first bought the mattress it isn't that a box wasn't offered, He came into the store looking for a mattress only for $and under for a platform bedPlatform beds do not require a foundationHe was not told it was a top of the line mattressHe was told at the time of purchase the mattress had a year warranty, based of being on a platform bed, NOT a year old foundation from another manufacturer
