Review: My fiance and I, have lived in Sunnyside, New York for over a year now and frequent Associated Marketplace on [redacted]. a few times a week. We have been very happy with the service and quality of products until recently. On Friday, May [redacted], I purchased quite a large amount of meat for a BBQ we were having for Memorial Day weekend (chicken, ribs, steak and pork chops). Upon cooking on Sunday, May [redacted], I realized two of the six packages of pork chops we purchased had a strange odor to them and a slimy texture. The other meat was fine. On Monday May [redacted], my fiance and I decided to bring the two packages back. We asked to exchange the product as it was rotten. The women at the customer service counter immediately said with an attitude I dont think we will take it back. I then asked to speak with the general manager who was even more rude, saying how do I know its bad? He stated we only had three hours to return the meat and he refused to take it back. I expressed that I did not want a refund as we shop there quite often, but just would like to exchange the bad product for a good one. He proceeded to shake his head with a smirk saying no. He was extremely argumentative refusing to listen to my feedback and walked away from me saying not going to do it. I have experienced bad customer service before, but this was by far was the worst experience to date. I myself work in management in the hotel industry and have experience dealing with guest issues. I cant imagine that a business would tolerate their colleagues speaking to customers in such a manner and selling rotten meat at the same time.Desired Settlement: I have sent two e-emails and one fax, directly to the corporate office in the past two weeks and no one has responded. I would like someone from their corporate office to acknowledge my complaint and provide the appropriate compensation.

They have apologized for the issue (through e-mail) however I am awaiting a response back regarding a resolution.
