Dear [redacted]:Thank you for your patience in the matter of the above complaint. Regrettably, we were unable to locate inquires prior to your letter dated April 23, 2014. [redacted] recently retired and the position has not yet been filled., so in the meantime future correspondence...

should be directed to me at the email contact shown below. We assure you that ASCD takes alt customer complaints with utmost concern, setting a high-priority to reaching a resolution and immediate!/ corresponding to the complainant. In the above case, ASCD has identified the explanation for repeated correspondence is due to multiple lists for various marketing, membership, and constituent services communications. Our unsubscribe policy is email category based so when a recipient goes online to unsubscribe the recipient is opting out from the category that pertains to that particular email, not all ASCD correspondence. On March 20, 2014, following verbal contact, the necessary action was taken to opt out the complainant from receiving future correspondence, including email and US postal mail. We have communicated by letter to the complainant an explanation for the repeated occurrences along with our apologies for any inconvenience. In an effort to avoid this occurrence going forward, we plan to make it perfectly clear the expectations of opting out online and that further action should be communicated to ASCD's Service Center.[redacted], if additional information if needed, please email me direct at [redacted]. Again, your patience in this matter is greatly appreciated.Regards

Review: I have repeatedly asked to be unsubscribed from ASCD's email and snail mail listsI have followed the necessary online procedures and also called and asked a representative to remove meI receive mailings almost weeklyThis is an organization that I used to be a member of and now am no longerFrankly, I wouldn't even consider it now based on what I have experienced rearding an insessant and expensive marketing campaign to gain members
After asking for my email and home address to be removed, I have still received mailings.Desired Settlement: In a perfect world, ASCD would take the money they spend on mailings to me and donate it to schools in need of educaiton fundingAs I realize that is not realistic, I would simply prefer a written email/letter with an apologize and admission of egrious marketing tactics and non-complicty with my removal from electronic and postal mail
