Review: I would like to raise awareness of a potential fraud being perpetrated by the Association of Certified Fraud Specialist (ACFS). A non-profit professional organization, supposedly dedicated to administering the Certified Fraud Specialist certification program in the United States.I first began to pursue this certification under the advice of an instructor, while he implied that the certification offered was legitimate, he also alluded to uniqueness about the assessment and acceptance processes. My first application to the ACFS for review and certification as a Certified Fraud Specialist was submitted on January of 2013 and was rejected on January 26, 2013 for procedural errors surrounding the documentation provided. Nonetheless, I have since resubmitted an application that complies with the documented instructions, but I still have yet to receive a decision on the application package that confirms my qualification are acceptable for that of a Certified Fraud Specialist since the last application submitted in March of 2013.

The reasoning for my change of heart is based on the inability to reach a human via the telephone and the lack of responsiveness to my emails submitted via the ACFS website. Finally, I have no desire to be a member of this organization without having obtained the CFS certification. Therefore, I would like to request either a prorate

The ACFS has recently contacted me and provided the requested proof of certification, which is currently being validated by employer. This issue is resolved.
