Assurant is a joke of a company, the phone protection I purchased through T-Mobile has done nothing but give me run around with its redundant processI file my claim online and receive an email stating I need to complete a Proof of Loss form, I click on link to complete form and see that it is the exact same form I used to file the original claimProof of loss form is filled out again and receive yet another email stating the same thing, I must complete the Proof of Loss form again I complete the same form for the 4th time and email customer service because of the delay of replacing my phone only to have my email answered over two days later stating there was a discrepencyI respond asking what the discrepency was and this time I do not receive a responseI get a voicemail from [redacted] telling me to call and let them know if the phone is lost or stolen so I call and get asked if I want to proceed with tthe claim, I would not have filed a claim if I didn't want to proceed with the claim, so I can only assume their business practice is to make the process repetitive and redundant that I will give up and just buy a new phone instead of getting it replaced under the protection plan I pay for with my phone service Now after all that I have to wait even longer because there is a hour review process on top of all the other delays I have had thus farAssurant should not be allowed to monopolize the phone carriers protection plans service and have been nothing but problematic since this claim process started well over a week ago

Stay away from them I wish I would read the reviews beforeI had a service plan for my dishwasher for over years (my contract was transferred from another company)When my dishwasher broke and the technician said it cannot be fixed, I was given different reasons why it is not the company responsibility to pay When I asked to cancel my other appliances service I was told that I have to send a letter (not even an email)You can join over the phone

THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY EVERI wish I would have read all the reviews all over the internet about these people I CANNOT STRESS enough to never use this company for ANYTHING The entire company is a joke I pay a year FOR NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't even get a statement or an email from a supervisor what is covered and what is not Which NOTHING IS COVERED by their standards I will be getting new insurance for my home ASAP DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR HOME, YOUR BELONGINGS, OR YOUR LIFE

I report my phone unusable since 6/it is now 7/and they told me I will have to wait another 4-business days I use my phone for business purposes and this might have caused my a huge promotion that I've been workingI'm uncontactable and almost everyone at work needs to contact meI am very upset and unsatisfiedI feel as if I'm being treated as a criminal and I'm the one protecting my property from damage and criminalsVery very very very disappointed

My wife used assurant rental insurance had a plugged drain out side of our garage call them sent over adjuster he claimed in our policy we were covered for water damage do to it percentA week later received a letter form them saying wind damage is not covered when I called I was told that the water came in through the wood and the concrete so it would NOT be covered I then asked how he could determine that from Florida by pictures then asked what pictures dI'd he see never seen the ones I sent of the drain or the hole in the side of the garage mind you its a appartments so there are garages together we were in the middle looking at getting a lawyerAssurant sucks would never have them canceling my phone insurance tomorrow Stay far away!!!!!!

I have filed an Affidavit of Truth, Obligation, Dispute, Protest and Intent to Litigate that includes a Demand in nature of Quo Warranto with Assurant Employee Benefits / Union Insurance Company also DBA as Assurant IncWhen this is done a point for point answer is the lawNot only did they ignore the Affidavit and addressing it point for point Theft by deception was done when they stole my propertymy plan was desimated using nonsensical statements and out right lying to deny my existing contractMaxims, A non rebutted Affidavit stands as truth in law, A letter from them is not a sworn statement and has no weight

This company is a complete trashThey should send your new phone in hours but I filed a claim on a Wednesday and on Friday they are saying I will receive my phone maybe for next TuesdayThat means week for them to send me a phone! Their response is that they are not require to send you any notification by email or call you to the phone number you provide where they can contact youI am require to check over the internet and/or call to check the claim status [redacted] and [redacted] (supervisor) gave me this explanation! Not worth the money we are payingThis phone is under a business name, I use it to work not for fun

Have been a T-Mobile customer for 10yearsAlways purchased insuranceNever filed a claimPurchased a new Samsungwith insuranceSeveral weeks later the phone was damaged and unusableWent to T-Mobile store on Tuesday 7/and they called the insurance companyInformation was exchangedDeductible was paid and the Assurant representative promised it would arrive Wednesday via overnight FedExOn Friday 7/17I still had no phone and I checked the FedEX siteIt had been shipped by TRUCK!! and was only in OklahomaI'm in Az Went back back to T-Mobile as this is my only phone and called again Assurant informed that there was NOTHING they could doWould not take responsibility for their mistake I have lost three days of businessI was informed via this phone call that it might arrive MondayI asked for any compensation via, pay my insurance, lower the deductible even overnight a phoneNadaThe manager stated I should get T-mobile to recompense for my inconvenience

Such a bad bad bad super bad insuranceI had paid $for a phone and they send me a damaged oneNow they want me to paid $more to get another phoneAre you kidding me?

If you buy a Whirlpool appliance, you will inevitably be forced to consider this insurance And when I say inevitably, I mean within the first two years of ownership...most likely as soon as the product goes out of warranty Whirlpool sells this plan DIRECTLY but they will assign all responsibility for servicing, addressing concerns, cancellation requests to Assurant, their 3rd party You will be buying this plan sight unseen and when you finally get to read the document will likely want to cancel Please be advised that Assurant will try to convince you that unless you cancel the policy same day, you are stuck with it Whirlpool told me to expect the document within week if by email, 4-weeks if by regular Fortunately, I called Assurant the same day to get a copy of the plan and they sent it that evening As soon as I read it, I emailed to cancel it and after several calls to Assurant and Whirlpool the next day was able to document that I tried to cancel...and cancel Whirlpool did Assurant just hung up on me What a total waste of energy and time
