Assured Consulting Group Reviews (2)

Review: [redacted] So, out of desperation we started looking for work on-line. My wife soon located a listing on New York [redacted] (have copy of job posting) for a Maintenance worker. So, my wife called the company at ###-###-#### and spoke to a [redacted] and he explained that they assisted applicants in obtaining work with major maintenance companies throughout NYC. However, there was a $100 payment, which would cover an OSHA certificate, paperwork, and uniforms. After searching the Revdex.com website and the internet and not finding any negative reviews regarding this company, my wife and I assumed their services would be worth a shot. I went to my scheduled appointment and on Wednesday, June **, 2013 and meet with [redacted], who started breaking down the program and this is when things got a little odd. [redacted] stated that there are two different tiers associated with their company. Tier 1: $140 was for OSHA certification and jobs with pay ranges of $9-$12 an hour. Tier 2: $199 was for OSHA certification and jobs with pay ranges $13-$22. Due to my current financial situation I opted for Tier 1 and scheduled to come back on Friday, June **, 2013 at 3:30pm, according to [redacted] to meet with a licensed contractor to discuss being placed for a job within 2 – 3 days. I later I showed my wife the receipt from the program and she questioned the $40 balance. We both were a little confused about the information I received at my appointment, and the information provided to her over the phone. So, she called and spoke to [redacted], who she was advised was the Director of the program. So, after many phone transfers she soon was in touch with [redacted]. She explained her confusion with the in-person presentation verse the information she received from [redacted] via the phone. She also explained that our financial situation was not in a good place, since she was the only one working, paying for the child care and all the bills. That’s when [redacted] strongly apologized and stated that as a one-time courtesy he would extent a $40 credit to my account and advised my wife to inform me to keep my appointment for Friday; where I would be meeting with a 25 year seasoned licensed contractor who he guaranteed would get me working within 2 – 3 business days. Friday, June **, 2013 I arrived at the program and there was approximately 35 - 40 people (I have photo evidence) waiting for job placement. I am assuming this is a separate issue from my objectives because I was told by [redacted] that I would be meeting with a specific licensed contractor for a job. Approximately, 60 minutes later, I start hearing people complaining and shouting about wanting their money back. [redacted] sees me in the waiting area and says “I know you’re here, be patient and don’t listen to what this people are saying.” This went on for another 20 minutes. Next thing I know the police arrive and stated that were too many people in one confined place, which was a fire hazard and started kicking everyone out. I can hear people threatening the staff members about coming back for their money. Staffer shouting back “Yeah, well I guess you gonna have to sue me!!!!” Now, I am outside very, very, very upset. I allowed the situation to die down and I soon made my way back upstairs. I never got the opportunity to meet with this “25 year seasoned licensed contractor,” but, ultimately, I received two “referrals” for GUARANTEED work, according to the girl who completed the referral form. I was informed to report to [redacted] at 9am and [redacted] at 10am on Tuesday, July *, 2013. When I arrived Tuesday, July *, 2013 at 9 am for my “appointment,” the receptionist at Temco Services informed that I didn’t have to pay for a referral to come in to obtain a job, because their policy is to either apply on-line or walk-in and submit a resume, which I did. Feeling defeated, I left and walked to the second referral location. However, I soon learned that it was the same exact place I had just left no more than of ten minutes prior. I called my wife and explained what happened and how I felt that I was scammed out of the little bit of money that I had. But, my wife is a well-educated and knowledgeable individual who stated it’s time to take action. She immediately contacted the company and spoke to a [redacted]. She advised my wife that she was very much aware of the situation that occurred on Friday, June **, with the police evicting all the applicants, and the fact that they were extremely overwhelmed due to [redacted] not being able to communicate with the [redacted] applicants; who subsequently was responsible for contacting the police in order to obtain refunds. [redacted] also indicated that my wife and I should understand that “They too was scammed” by the people they paid to come and provide jobs for the company, and currently they were working feverously trying to resolve the problem, but would be willing to give refunds to those applicants who did not want to wait any longer for jobs. She claimed that she would forward my wife’s name and number to [redacted], the “Real Program Director,” and she should give him time to reach the office so she could pass our concerns on to him for a resolution. Honestly, I feel scammed, bamboozled, and deceived. Subjectively, I believe that this company is preying and profiting off the misfortune of naïve, ignorant, and unsuspecting minorities, who simply want to join the work forces of America and feel normal again. There should be no shame in wanting to work to provide for your family. But, when you purposefully target and take someone’s very last dollar, and furnish hopes and dreams that you know for a fact can’t be delivered, this is where the line needs to be drawn. I expect to be fully refunded after your investigation has concluded. I know my receipt indicated non-refundable. However, I believe this company purposely deceived me, knowing full well that they didn’t have available work to provide me, an OSHA certification class or uniforms, which was the sole purpose of the $100 payment. Their actions explicitly reflect a breach of contract.Desired Settlement: I expect a full $100 cash refund. This company didn't provide me all that was promised when I paid the agreed upon fee. Thus, the company breached the contract. I also would like to have my compliant published for the public to see. We are currently in a fragile financial crisis and for any company to deceive and scam money from people is so disrespectiful and unforgivable.

Dear Revdex.com:

In response to the above complain, the customer was NOT promised a specific pay rate. The customer was advised of a pay scale with no promises made. It was made very clear to the customer, as well as written in our contract in which he signed that we offer job placement assistance and there are no guarantees the customer will be selected. Quitting his job was something he chose to do on his own and was not suggested or motivated by us. We believe we did what was agreed to and customer acted on his own.

Review: I saw an advertisement online (http[redacted])about a firm that is hiring people to work on maintenance jobs. I called the company and they placed a meeting for the next day (June **, 2013) in their main office located in [redacted]. Assured Consulting Group charges a registration fee of $99. They stated that in order for them to provide you with their services, you must first pay the registration fee followed by a payment for OSHA courses registration. The company wont allow you to work if you have not completed a 10 hours OSHA classes. For the 10 hours classes, Assured Consulting Group will charge you $299. This means, that you must pay a total of $398 and complete the 10 hour classes in order to receive the services of this company. Once they interviewed me, I pay them $110 in cash and I had a balance of $288. I told them Ill pay the balance on Wednesday, June ** (two days after the first meeting). On June **, 2013, I requested a refund. It didnt seem right for me as a possible employee to pay the company for a training that didnt guarantee me a job with them. It wasnt ethical. They told me they companys only day for refunds are on Saturdays and to come on the upcoming one. I search the official OSHA website, and theres no 10 hour courses that charges $299. I looked for the URL of the company, and found several sites but not one that seemed real (official). I called the companys office number, and the first time they didnt pick up. The second time, the number line wasnt available. I came back to the companys office today (Saturday, June **) and they told me that I have to fill a refund request and that itll take 5-7 business days for the process to be completed. They also stated that Ill probably receive fifty percent (50%) of my money back since I made use of their service. I explained to them that I didnt use their service and neither did they provide me with theirs. They told me that theyll call me back on Friday (June **), and kept my only receipt and the contracts hard copy (but I made an extra copy of both by my own just in case this happened).Desired Settlement: I want the company to give me a 100% refund. I would also like to acknowledge if this is an official company or a fraud.

Hi,

Assured Consulting Group refund me $90 back. I am not happy with the refund due to the amount of time and energy I put into the effort of getting my money back, and I value these things more than money itself. I don't want to proceed with any further refund.

It's been my pleasure,
