Failure to obtain permits, presented self as qualified to do bathroom renovation, accepted money for work not performed and inferior work. [redacted] came on July 7 to address a leak in the bathroom. He claimed that he had remodeled many bathrooms and accepted to remodel 2 bathrooms. He did substandard work (judged by two properly licensed contractors), doing poor plastering, installing broken and cracked tiles. He did not extend cement board properly in tub area. He did not follow the homeowners instructions to extend tile to ceiling and to affix membrane to floor with thin set before installing tile. In effect, he installed tile to a membrane that was not attached properly to the bathroom floor. He called this a "floating tile floor." The manufacturer when consulted, said this voided the warranty and that [redacted] had not consulted them as he had told the homeowner. He failed to obtain the necessary permit. He left a hole beneath the tub which allows one to see the bottom of the tub from the garage. He cut through an electrical wire and caused damage to the kitchen wall behind the kitchen when he put a nail through it from the bathroom side. In addition, he did not finish the bathroom walls as desired and the fixtures were not installed because the homeowner did not feel he should be allowed further admittance to house because of his dishonesty and because it was discovered that his license was "on probation". He left cracks in the wall and a hole behind the toilet which was installed in a downstairs bathroom. He was paid by check as follows: July 8 (start of work) [redacted]: $3500, July 12:[redacted] : $3500, July 25: [redacted] $2500:[redacted] $1609.50 for "extras" ("the accent tile was difficult to do" I should not have paid this, but I felt intimidated.) .The contractors consulted to look over the bathrooms were stunned by the substandard work. The only option is to tear out the upstairs tile to be able to verify that electrical wires behind it and plumbing are up to code as well as repairing walls and installing fixtures.Desired SettlementBecause [redacted] demonstrated that he does not have the skills necessary to perform the renovation not has he shown that he is going to follow code or manufacturers instructions for installation and remodel of bathrooms, I am seeking a refund of $10,000 to partially pay for a fully licensed and competent contractor to obtain proper permits and redo and repair the work and damage that [redacted] caused my home. The hall bathroom is unusable. This will also partially cover the materials that must be repurchased.

They came to plow my driveway. The driver couldn't navigate the hill and wasn't able to complete the job and while backing out damaged my fence.I've contacted the company by phone three times since February and contacted them via email, including an three emails to the owner, on several other occassions. I feel as though they should compensate me for the damage they did to my fence. My neighbor and I were watching when this driver backed in the fence post so there isn't any doubt as to what happened. The driver even got out of his truck and took pictures of the damage with his cell phone. Desired SettlementI am seeking $500 for the damage.

I had purchased a "Living Social Deal for Assured Service Plumbing AC service. No showed 2 appointments & was late again today. Very Rude on the phoneI had purchased a "LivingSocial" deal online for Air Conditioning Service Tune-Up with Standard Filter Voucher # XXXXXXXXXXXXX purchased on April 29, 2013 for $84.00 on my Visa Credit Card ending in last fout digits of [redacted] This was for the company Assured Service Plumbing and Heating located in Northborough, MA. The company was set to come to do the work on July 16th between 8am-10am and we took a morning off of work for them to come to the house. The company no-showed the appointment, and called later and said that they would come the following day. The next day after again taking time off from work, the company again no-showed and upon my calling the company said that it was due to the high demand due to the heat wave and apologized and stated that they would come to our home and do the work at, "your convenience on a weeknight or weekend, whatever we needed". I called on Monday, July 29th, 2013 after allowing for the heat wave to pass and had an appointment scheduled for Thursday, August 1st, 2013 between 8am-10am and [redacted] stated that that would be better for him as he was busier earlier in the week. I told him that Thursday was August 1st, technically the last day of the "living social" deal and he said that that would not be a problem. The technicians/plumbers did not arrive by 10am and my fiance called and spoke with [redacted] who said it would be another hour and a half at least before they arrive and there was nothing he could do about it. She unfortunately had to get to work, and so I called the phone number for Assured Service Plumbing from my work at the hospital, and explained the situation and our frustration at having been no-showed/cancelled on twice prior, and told that they would reschedule under our convenience. I stated that I was disappointed in the service and that my fiance felt whomever she had spoken to was rude on the phone to her. [redacted] then identified himself as [redacted] the [redacted] of the company, who then became defensive and said he was not rude to her and that I was being rude in accusing him of his service. He angrily stated that he would mail a check in the mail in my name to my address in [redacted] and that he would not service my central air conditioning unit. I agreed that this would be in the best interest of both parties and I appreciate his refunding the Living Social Deal. Desired SettlementI would appreciate a refund of $84.00 for the purchased voucher # XXXXXXXXXXXXX from "LivingSocial" for an A/C Tune-Up with Standard Filter from Assured Service. Thank you.
