Astak refused to give me a refund of $108.74 after I returned their defective camera.I asked Astak for a refund after I returned their defective set of cameras. [redacted] was the contact person. After I told him that I was dissatisfied with the cameras and wanted a refund, he stopped answering my emails; I've emailed him twice and emailed the customer service once asking for the refund. No response from Astak. USPS confirmed the package delivery on 10/22/14. To this date, no one has contacted me to acknowledge that they are going to refund my money. Astak ActionPro Video Camera never worked. Astak will not answer phone calls, return messages or reply to emails. I purchased an Astak ActionPro Video Camera Model No: [redacted] The camera did not work. Astak said it was a battery issue and sent me a new battery. The camera still did not work. I since then I have tried calling their customer support number 10+ time with not answer. I have left messages and received not return call. I have sent several emails to them and never one response. All I want is a working camera, which I paid for, but all I have is a paper weight. This is the last email I sent them at [redacted]@astak.com on 7/8/2013:"I purchased an ActionPro CM-7200 for a Belize. After testing the camera a few days before the trip, I found that the camera would only work for about 10 seconds, even after a full charge. Astak blamed it on a bad battery and mailed me a new battery, but unfortunately I was not able to get any footage on our awesome trip! New battery was at the house when I got home and I thought all was solved. I fully charged it before a trip to [redacted] Florida to swim with manatees. Just before I jump in the water with a wild manatee, I opened the door of the waterproof housing and held down the power button and NOTHING! This is the second trip that I have no footage from! I plan to leave for [redacted] Thailand on July 10th. I'm really seconding guessing my decision to buy this camera over a GoPro. I have tried calling your number at XXX-XXX-XXXX many times, with no answer. What happens now? Please help!" This email was followed on 4/21/2014 with:"I would really appreciate if you would respond to my problems. I have now had this camera for over a year and it has never worked and I get no response from Astak. If is do not get a camera that works or my money back soon, I plan to report Astak to the Revdex.com. Please respond."Till this day I have not gotten a response from Astak.Desired SettlementI would like a refund of $135 or a camera that works. At least be professional enough to reply to my emails or return my calls.
